hi there as a neighbour to jonna i can tell u that the north is awsome in every way there is:) the contrasts is just awsome and we would not change it for anything. its actually a huge difference between the southern sweden to the north so i lived in stockholm for 15 years and i loved it but i always longed for my home in the north so now im back up here:)

I live in Stockholm, and no, we don't have really this extremes, yet huge differences between summer and winter. And even tho I've lived here for my whole life I'm still not "used" to the bright nights. We don't have midnight sun, here it sets around 10pm during the brightest weeks of the summer - but it never gets pitch black. We have about 2h between midnight and 2am where you can still see bigger things but not necessarily every single detail. At 2am you can kinda bring a book outside and read it, and after 3 am it's almost full daylight outside. I try my best to block it out with thick curtains, but you can't really block everything out. And even if you can while inside, you don't get the twilight telling you the night is coming, so then you have to go from almost full daylight at 11pm to trying to get it as dark as you possibly can right before going to bed. There's no time for transition in that. So yes, I do struggle a lot with sleeping every summer.

I live in the Southwest and seasonal conditions are less harsh here. Not as dark during the winter (dark enough though) and not 24 hours of daylight during the summer (only around 19 or something 😂). We might get a week of snow, sometimes almost none (instead we get a lot of rain, and I would prefer snow). I’ve never been to the North of Sweden. Haven’t been further north than Stockholm. Whenever I go on vacation, I tend to choose warmer places 😁. But I would like to go see the Northern Lights someday. I couldn’t live there, I think winters down south is hard and long enough and they don’t compare to what it’s like where Jonna lives…

many who react to this asks where she gets her food from, and yes she grows lots herself, but she can do like you, go to a store and buy it.
