@@MelissaParrellaI liked the ones in Georgia (LBB) and now Pennsylvania. The s'mores cookie (the sandwich cookie not the chocolate covered) was new and became my new favorite and I definitely prefer the Savannah Smiles over the Lemonades.
Was a girl scout for 13 years and received my silver award during that time! I am now a lifetime scout! So the cookies that kate tried were mostly east coast and the others were mostly west coast! Happy you enjoyed them!

Wow that’s amazing.
My daughter is in girl scouts. We live in the state of Montana. We spent 2 months focusing on selling the cookies. From going door to door (which we didn't do much this year due to negative degree weather) and every Saturday and Sunday the girls would set up a booth in front of a local store for up to 8 hours at a time. A portion of the money they received is going to a camp the girls are going to this summer. We sold the type of cookies on Alex's side. My favorite, as well as the rest of my family, is the thin mints. (On a side note this is the last year for the Savannah smiles.) I absolutely love your channel.

Little Brownie Bakers is now owned by Keebler a subsidiary of Kellogg’s. I’m not sure if it’s the only LBB location but I know we do have one here in Louisville, Ky! S’mores cookies are a fairly new addition. You can get “dupes” for thin mints, Samoa’s, Tagalongs, and Do si dos in most groceries year round. I will add the dupes are cheaper but it’s worth supporting the Girl Scouts to pay a bit extra! It teaches the girls about business and finance as well ;) My favorite is Samoas, I love coconut but the Tagalongs are a close second. I think whoever first decides to combine peanut butter and chocolate should have a holiday named in their honor 🤤
The Samoas are my favorite. Hope you enjoy all of them though.

My friend (who was a girl scout) they are sold based on regions of the country. In my area we have Samoas and my friend in Wisconsin has Carmel delights. In Fort Worth, people enjoy Caramel deLites, which are more cookie than coconut, vanilla-flavored cookie drizzled with a milkier chocolate; a few miles east, in Dallas, the same cookie -- here called Samoas -- has a heavier layer of caramel, a darker chocolate drizzle, and its coconut is noticeably more toasted

The freezing is usually actually because of freshness and not so much temperature. Temperature is part of it but because we try to buy in bulk and to spread out snacks or treats out to keep favorites longer. A lot of people try to budget as much as possible to keep it possible to have snacks and treats for the whole month when they get paid monthly not bi weekly.

@@ThisWithThem I looked it up on the girl scouts web page (or at least one of them) Girl Scout Promise: On my honor, I will try: To serve God and my country, To help people at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law. (While saying this, hold up the 3 middle fingers on you left hand) Girl Scout Law: I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout. For the Boy Scouts it's: Boy Scout Oath or Promise: On my honor, I will do my best To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight. Note that the Boy Scout Oath has traditionally been considered to have three promises. Those three promises are delineated by the semicolons in the Oath, which divide it into three clauses. The three promises of the Scout Oath are, therefore: Duty to God and country, Duty to other people, and Duty to self DUTY TO GOD AND COUNTRY: Your family and religious leaders teach you to know and serve God. By following these teachings, you do your duty to God. Men and women of the past worked to make America great, and many gave their lives for their country. By being a good family member and a good citizen, by working for your country's good and obeying its laws, you do your duty to your country. Obeying the Scout Law means living by its 12 points. DUTY TO OTHER PEOPLE: Many people need help. A cheery smile and a helping hand make life easier for others. By doing a Good Turn daily and helping when you're needed, you prove yourself a Scout and do your part to make this a better world. DUTY TO SELF: Keeping yourself physically strong means taking care of your body. Eat the right foods and build your strength. Staying mentally awake means learn all you can, be curious, and ask questions. Being morally straight means to live your life with honesty, to be clean in your speech and actions, and to be a person of strong character. Boy Scout Law: A Scout is: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.

I was a Girl Scout for around 7 years. Selling Girl Scout cookies has become more of a challenge then as much helping others. Troop leaders push the girls to get out and meet people and sell as many as possible, with each box you sell you get closer to certain prizes. The thanks a lots are my favorite, when I was a child and teething my mom would freeze them and give them to me, it helps with the pain, and tastes great!
I was so excited to see this video! I was a Girl Scout for almost 30 yrs (as a girl, a leader, PR person for my county, and finally I was the person over the Girl Scouts in my county). I love Girl Scout Cookies. As a girl I was top seller for my council for 2 years and btw, our council uses Little Brownie. As a Girl Scout you can earn a Bronze Award (Junior Girl Scouts), Silver Award (Cadette Girl Scouts), and the Gold Award (Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts). I earned both the Silver and Gold Awards but the Bronze Award was only introduced in 2001 so I was before it's time. Thanks for the great video.

I was a girl scout through my senior year of high school and am now a leader. Little Brownie was the original Baker, ABC was added when Little Brownie couldn't keep up with demand. Cookies are the main fundraiser for the Girl Scout troops. Many of us use the money to complete service projects in our communities. The most popular flavor is Thin Mints, followed by Samoas, and then Tagalongs. Do-Si-Dos actually fall around 4th or 5th favorite nationwide.
The Samoas are my favorite. My niece is a girls scout and she lives in Las Vegas, Nevada and we can actually order from her online and have the cookies delivered to me in Salt Lake City, Utah. ❤️ Love your videos! I watch them in the morning while I get ready for the day. 😀

I was a girlscouts from age 5 all the way to age 16! I went through all of the different stages and have so many badges I can’t even count! I’ve also won the bronze, silver, and gold awards! I grew up in Florida and our company was little brownie bakers so we had the Tagalongs and Samoa’s ! When I first started the scouts, the cookies were $2.50 a box and now they’re almost $5 which is crazy! I miss being in girlscouts so much and being active in the community, the crafts, camping at special girlscout campsites, the cabins, the projects, and of course selling the cookies and of course being in my troop, it was like a family, and meeting so many friends from other troops! Also my favorite cookie is the Tagalongs/ peanut butter patties!!!!
We have daisies, brownies, juniors, cadets, ambassadors . The organization as a whole is Girl Scouts. Every age sells the cookies once a year.

Wow that’s awesome. So glad you enjoyed your time as a Girl Scout ☺️
Little Brownie Baker all the way!!! I live in Southern CA, and our different counties have either ABC or LBB, and LBB is definitely superior. My top favorite cookies are the Tagalongs and Thin Mints. Breyer's Ice Cream brand does Girl Scout cookie limited edition flavors during the GS season too, and they are divine! I loved being a Girl Scout in the 80's. We didn't have tables to sell at, we actually had to go door to door in our neighborhoods. I forget how many boxes I had to sell, something like 300, but I was so proud one year to get the huge purple dragon badge for reaching my goal. The chocolate bars you saw kids selling were probably the World's Finest Chocolate brand, which is a huge fundraiser product for schools, usually $1 per bar.

Oh my word no way! Bet that ice cream is amazing! Woah that’s so many boxes. Yeah you should be. That’s awesome. That must be it. Thank you ☺️
I was a Girl Scout in the 70’s when cookies sold for .50 a box. I still have my badges for selling 1000 boxes or more. We lived on a military base when it was safe to go door to door. When people purchased cookies we gave them a decal to stick to their door that showed they bought cookies and that saved another scout from going to the same house.
Thin mints have been #1 since my mom was a kid and she is a great-grandmother now. My favorite has always been the lemon and short bread. I enjoyed seeing your take on the different brands. My cousin and I use to always competed on who sold the most and couldn't wait for them to come so we could deliver them. Glad you enjoyed those. Keep up the great work.
I’m so glad you guys were able to try Girl Scout cookies. When I was a Brownie in the Girl Scouts in the US, there was a cookie called Snaps. They were like gingerbread cookies with icing. Nowadays, I stick with frozen thin mints. Glad you guys enjoyed the cookies!

In the US the recipes are owned and produced by the two different bakers. In Canada the recipes for the cookies are owned by Girl Guides Canada and are produced in association with Dare Foods (a popular cookie making company that sells many different varieties in grocery stores) which is why Canada only has a few flavours of cookie the Thin Mints in the fall and the classic sandwiches in the spring!
I’ve never tried the ABC versions. Everyone in our area has always sold the Little Brownie Bakers. I’ve never understood the popularity of the thin mint either. They’re not our favorite. We actually like the Samoa’s and we heat them for a few seconds in the microwave. It melts that chocolate and caramel making it much more delicious. Savannah smiles are a second for me. Glad you were able to finally try Girl Scout cookies 🍪😊

First Class Girl Scout for the win! (First class shows how old, it was the equivalent of Eagle in Boy Scouts). I was the champ seller of cookies one year, and then politely retired so another girl could have that exciting opportunity. Being a Brownie and GS for all those years was the best start ever. Girl Scouts empowers girls for future success!! Hugs to Kate and Alex!
Tagalongs are my fave bc i love the chocolate peanut butter combo and Tagalongs are also good frozen :)
First, fantastic video. I learned a a lot about Girl Scout Cookies. Thin Mints are my absolute favorite cookie. I will buy 10 to 12 boxes of them. I keep them in the freezer and will eat them alone or add them to vanilla ice cream or just whipped cream.
In California, or at least around here they go for $5 a box. I didn't know there were two different bakeries. Last year when I bought them I didn't care for them and thought they changed recipes but now I know, thanks to you why there was different. The girl scouts I bought them from had the lemonades so now I know what to look out for. But if you'd like a treat, freeze the thin mints, break them up and serve over vanilla ice cream and sliced strawberries. Soooo good.
I was a scout and both my daughters have been. We always used Little Brownie Bakers for our entire area.
Crush up a sleeve of thin mints and stir them into your favorite brownie batter. Magic!
Just watched this. I was a Girl Scout in the 1990’s. My fav was always the Samoa’s. My brother liked the thin mints, my mom liked the Tagalongs and my dad liked the Do-Si-Dos. Not a fan of the ABC brand of cookies. Glad you guys got to try both companies!! Btw, grocery stores have started making their own kind of Girl Scout cookies, they just can’t use the same names :-)
The Girl Guides organization was started by Robert Baden-Powell and the Girl Scouts organization was started by Juliette Gordon Low. Both organizations are similar but not 100% the same. Girl Scouts: Daisies (Kindergarten - 1st Grade) -> Brownies (2nd - 3rd Grade) -> Juniors (4th - 5th Grade) -> Cadettes (6th - 8th Grade) -> Seniors (9th - 10th Grade) -> Ambassadors (11th - 12th Grade). I was a Brownie and a Junior. Boy Scouts: The Cub Scouts (ages 5-11) are broken down into six ranks (Bobcat, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, Arrow of Light). Scouts BSA is from age 11 to age 17 and is also broken down into ranks (Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, Eagle). The Boys Scouts are now called Scouts BSA and have opened their doors to girls. Scouts BSA groups are separated by gender so girls have their own groups and boys have their own groups. The Girl Scouts have a pledge that all Girl Scouts recite. You hold up three fingers (pointer, middle, and ring) together and say: On my honor, I will try: To serve God and my country, To help people at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law. Caramel De-Lites are my favorite Girl Scout cookie (In Massachusetts, where I used to live, we call them Caramel De-Lites).

Girl Scout cookies can now be purchased online, not sure about internationally though. And as you can only but the real thing @ a starting price of $4 a box certain time off the year, or grocery stores now sell Girl Scout cookie mixes that you can make at home. They also sell a few other pre-made items. I haven't tried them as i don't wish to be disappointed. Love you video's, keep smiling!
Lieutenant General Robert Baden-Powell started the Boy Scouts in the U.K.. With his sister Agnes he also founded Girl Scouts. Scouting was introduced in the U.S. later. If I am not mistaken the selling of cookies is not just fund raising but part of completing a business learning packet to earn a badge.
I look forward to these every year!!! Yummy! We call them different names but we have levels as well.

We take our Girl Scout Cookies season serious here lol I don’t get the love for Thin Mints either but Samoas and Tag a Longs are the favorites in my house. Plus having Trefoils to nibble with coffee and tea ☺️ My brother in law also prefers the Lemonades to the Savannah Smiles and was disappointed that no troops around us had them, he had friends on the east coast send boxes 😂
I am from Oregon (west coast) and grew up with the ones Alex has. I now live in Iowa (Midwest) and have what’s on Kate’s side. People thought I was weird calling the peanut butter patties Tagalongs. Haha. They are my favorite! ❤️
Hi Kate I was a Girl Scout the levels are Brownies Juniors cadets and Senior the oath was On my honor I will try to do my best to do my duty to God and my country to help other people at all times especially those at home. I enjoyed it selling cookies were very easy to sell and the profits went to the troop. My favorite are the Samoa’s and thin mints. 💕🦋

Yeah so interesting to find that out! Thank you Kellie!
I was a girl scout and still support them with cookie buying! My faves ate samosas, tag a longs, thin mints and lemonades.
Thin Mints & Samoas are the best!! We always freeze our Thin Mints! Even though they are pretty expensive as cookies go, we always buy a few boxes every year since it is a fundraising activity. (And because they are delish!).

Yeah they seem expensive to us too but yeah at least it’s going to a good cause
In Canada....it is Girl Guides and I love their vanilla filled cookies and their chocolate filled cookies. They are very good and I love to put the chocolate filled cookies the freezer so they don't melt. Kate and Alex....you should try the Canadian Girl Guides cookies. I think you would enjoy them too!
Smores are my new favorite.I also like thin mints and tagalong.I live in Michigan.I didn't know there was two baker.

Hillary's emails to Lorne Supply and demand. No one would buy them as they do because they’re always available. It’s basically a novelty item and they capitalize on it.

Theresa here, I was a Campfire girl. We were Bluebirds first and the Boys were Blue-Jays. They are from 1st grade to 3rd grade . In 4th grade we fly up to campfire girls and boys. We sold candy instead. Found this online about the boy scouts www.scouting.org/programs/cub-scouts/what-cub-scouts-earn/. But it too has changed with the times and it is now since the late 70's early 80's when I was in what you all would call Primary school. When I was in it we didn't join until 6 years old or grade one/first grade.] My 23 year old followed her mom and joined. Past programs[edit] Bluebirds, Blue Jays, Sparks[edit] Through the years, many names have been used within Camp Fire to identify different age groups. Camp Fire's youngest members in elementary school were known as Bluebirds for many years. In 1983, a club program for kindergarteners was introduced. It was called Sparks. In 1989, these two age groups were combined and new program level for kindergarten, first and second graders called Starflight was created. The program of Little Stars for pre-schoolers was added in 2005. The tradition of bluebirds has been preserved as a Camp Fire mascot for all ages to enjoy.[33 Little Stars is for children ages three through five and provides parents and preschool youth with a quality, program-driven playgroup that gives them the opportunity to learn, grow and play. Starflight program is for boys and girls in kindergarten through second grade. The children meet regularly in adult supervised clubs. Meeting activities can focus on the areas of outdoors, creativity, service, acquiring new skills, learning more about themselves and getting along with others. Adventure Program is for boys and girls in third through fifth grade. Adventure members earn Action Crafts beads for all the new things they do and for the good habits they learn. At this level youth begin to accept more responsibility for choosing and planning their club activities. Discovery is for sixth through eighth grades. It gives young people an opportunity to explore new interesting fields. Club members do much of their own planning and decision making, with the adult leader functioning more as an advisor than a supervisor. This is also when Camp Fire youth are eligible to make and wear ceremonial attire, often gowns or tunics, which are worn only at Camp Fire ceremonials. Horizon is for high school age youth in grades nine through twelve. These young people participate in self-guided programs geared toward preparing them for adult responsibilities and community service. Members may earn the WoHeLo Award.More found here on en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camp_Fire_(organization) Shirley Temple Beverly Cleary Janis Joplin Gladys Knight Madonna Were all memberswww.campfirelb.org/index.php/support-camp-fire/candy-fundraisersWe had a song called The Law of Campfire Seek beauty, give service and knowledge pursue. Be trustworthy ever in all that you do. Hold fast on to health and your world glorify and you will be happy in the law of campfire. We also had a pledge we did It went To have fun To learn to make things To remember to finish what I begian To keep my temper most of the time To learn about nature and living outdoors To have adventures with people, places and things And to make friends. I am 50 on around Christmas and I still remember what I pledged and sang as a 6 through 10 year old little girl. My troop mad our own vests, mine was blue ff, my 23 yr olds was given to her and the vest and a hat wa all she wear, but I had the uniform and had to wear it to school on the days of our meeting. I was a girl scout until I graduated high school. Also, the strange thing, when I was in girl scouts, cookie season was in the fall. It's only been in the last decade that they've switched to the winter/spring As for the types of cookies, if I buy cookies in the county I live in, the boxes were $5 a box. The boxes I bought from the county I work in, the boxes were only $4. I love the lemonades which were only available in the county I work in. As for the levels of our girl scouts, There's daisy, brownie, cadets, juniors, and seniors.

@@monika4148 Yes, there used to be a local restaurant in my area that would make them every year during Girl Scout Cookie season. You could choose either chocolate or vanilla ice cream as your base and they would mix crushed thin mints into the shake. It was wonderful.

We have a local coffee shop near where I live (south of Boston Massachusetts) that makes frozen Thin mint coffees! Omg they are soooooooooo addicting and taste soooooooooo good!!! The best part is you can get them all year long!!!!
Scouts are a chain organization across the country. When I was a kid, the local version was Campfire Girls, and the church our family attends now, have a club called Royal Rangers.

When I was in, I remember making a Christmas ornament out of a Styrofoam ball, and sewing a picture on a square of fabric. Then they put all the squares together and made a quilt for someone that was in the hospital.
I was never a scout as a youth, but now I work for my local boy scouts council professionally; it's always so interesting to hear about different scouting programs around the globe! Somoas are my favorite cookies too!
Thin mints cold are my fave. I have literally sat with my best friend and we have eaten a whole box without realizing. I am addicted to them. 2nd are the Samoa’s or Caramel Delites

Yaaay 😀♥️ So glad you enjoyed watching
What a nice touch to have all that information between the two cookies, it really brought the whole video together so well
Cookies sold by the Girl Souts are used as fundraisers for the troop. Each troop keeps the funds raised which is a % of each box sold. The girls in each troop then decide how to spend the $. Most often it is used to pay for an activity such as camping, horseback riding , sailing or the like. many times incorporating the ability to earn a badge. Also there are usually council prizes for individual girls who sell the most boxes. Each council has different prizes. The girls are not allowed to sell without an adult present and most have stopped the door-to-door sales due to safety concerns. Most have a relationship with a local retail store or restraunt where they are allowed to set up a table in front of the location to sell ccookies. Even though they are sold for a short period of time, the good thing is that they freeze well to keep them into the months where they are no longer available and that is probably why folks learned that the thin mints taste good frozen. I like the Tagalongs frozen. But even with the best of intentions to freeze them and keep them for later, we often are out of cookies sooner than we wish to be!
Canada has Girl Guides, and I was once sold cookies when I was at a campground! Ruthless!
I was part of the Girl Scouts when I was young but we never really got any badges I think. Mostly just sold Girl Scouts cookies. I have to say I love the Savanah Smiles 😋.
I was a brownie also✌️I can’t believe you remembered that brownie saying😍I loved the samosas so much!! Still do! And the thin mints and peanut butter chocolate ones. I actually loved them all!❤️
Girlscout cookie time is my favorite time of the year. It makes me so very sad when they are gone. The s’mores one is really really good! But to be honest... ALL of them are DELICIOUS!
In Australia for scouts its; Joey's Cubs Scouts Ventures Rovers I did joey's and cubs lol x
We have Girl Guides here in Canada. They start with Brownies, then Guides, then Pathfinders. They do sell cookies however just 2 kinds, a thin mint and then a cookie with one side chocolate the other vanilla with a vanilla cream in the middle and are $5 a box!!! Would love to try these!!!!
I was a Brownie back in the 70's when I was young, the boxes were $1 each, Now depending where you live they can go to as much as $5. Love Thin Mints, frozen !!! The BEST! I never knew that there was 2 bakeries that made them, Thanks for sharing! Great Video!!
Totally love the thin mints...and your videos.
In Canada we have girl guide cookies... There are two types cream filled cookies each box has a row of chocolate and a row of vanilla, and mint cookies they have a chocolate cookie base with a fondant mint filling covered in chocolate.
WOW! i live in Pennsylvania USA and I have learned alot about girl scout cookies today by watching you guys,And I didn't know there were two different bakeries and that they have different names from one group to another. I Love Samoans , and they were right the thin mints are better in the freezer. Love your channel so much!! Hugs !!!😘💓
In Canada they are Girl Guides. And we only have vanilla, chocolate and mint. the mint ones have a think white layer in the middle. The vanilla and chocolate cookies are cream filled cookies. (like an Oreo) I never did any levels of them but my daughter went to Sparks only. This is how they are divided for ages... Sparks (5-6) Brownies (7-8) Guides (9-11) Pathfinders (12-14) Rangers (15-17)
Thin mints are my favorite! And frozen is definitely the best!
In the U.S. there are more levels of girl scouts based on grade level through senior year of high school! Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors. I was all of these levels and achieved the gold award, so glad you enjoyed the cookies. I am from Ohio where we get cookies from Little Brownie Bakers.
I was a girl scout until 9th grade and was always one of the top cookie sellers in my troop!!
Thin mints and Tagalongs will forever be my favs! 🤍 also I’ve been banging your guys videos and I love them, just found ur channel today!
