I feel that you skipped some Important point - What about the Irish (EU, Non Schengen) and travelling from the EU to Switzerland (Schengen, Non EU)? In my understanding, ETIAS will be required in both cases,

Citizens of 60 countries including Australia, Canada, USA will require ETIAS authorisation, not just Brits.

The NERVE of Brexiteers! €7 ???? for a visa that will last 3 years with UNLIMITED travel. In what universe is this a problem !?!??! Now, let's look at what the UK is charging.... A Serbian middle school student (14 years old) wanting to go on a class trip to London for a week. She has permanent resident in Austria and has since birth. The UK charged her €300 to apply for a visa and then rejected that application, with NO appeal process. All other students in her class received the visa. She applied again, at another €300 cost, and was given the visa. So next time Brexiteers want to complain about €7, just don't.

Right. UK chose brexit : they were not fired by E.U. 7€ for all the years of mess they did in E.U. administration for leaving it, is very cheap.

They'd only have to get it once every three years though, not every single time they cross the border. A 7€ fee every 3 years isn't that outrageous.

Only need a visa for the Schengen area I think. Expect there will be a visa for travel in the UK tpp - but nothing desperate

You have the same rules for people entering the uk from 2024 . You created those rules while you were in the EU.

Hello, I am a Portuguese with a Portuguese passport. I entered the UK in August, because now the UK has left the EU🇪🇺, the theory is that the British authorities will stamp our passports when we enter the UK with EU passports. And indicate the period of stay, but after I entered the country, I found that my Portuguese passport was the same as before when the UK had not left the EU🇪🇺. My Portuguese passport did not have a stamp and period of stay, but the problem came again, my A British friend traveled to Greece last month, and his British passport had been stamped by the Greek Immigration Bureau, indicating that he could only stay for ninety days. People with British passports had to queue up to go through customs through another channel, and I had a Portuguese passport in August. When I went to the UK, I went through the same channel as the British.

i rather queue but not importing law skills EU's , its a shame UK has so much to offer but all we have is law skills EU's plus BRITISH CITIZENS dont get the same treatment in poor EU so well im glad we voted outttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

Quick question if you have dual citizenship do you need to pay twice having two passports. Do you need one of those visas if you’re not leaving the airport just going from one flight to another

We have to do something similar to visit the US and no body complain about it asking UK should do the same to USA?

I agree. It's the same if a Brit visits Canada now too.

As long as the UK imposes similar checks and costs on EU passport holders visiting the UK I'm happy with it.

They are planning on the UK ETA which will cost more than ETIAS and be valid for 2 years rather than 3

Can you do maths? Flights to Asia are much more expensive and plenty of Asian countries have evisas or even full on visas for British tourists
