The discipline of Zakat was introduced to ensure societies are never left without. A great balanced approach for the needy from all backgrounds to benefit from. It was Islam which introduced the system of benefits not just Zakat.

Can't speak for any other country but I traveled to the UAE and learned that many workers are kept as slave labour, being paid well under the minimum wage, a lot of these guys barely have enough to put food on the table due to their exploitation. Whatever the UAE gives in charity it loses it's morality due to how it treats it's workers. Hope other Muslim countries are better

@@Armanispice the thing is, it's most of these workers who are eligible for zakat. I understand helping your own citizens first, but no Muslim country can say they practice zakat if they leave foreign workers suffering in poverty and don't care. Thats literally the opposite of zakat 😬

zakat isn't not a fee as it isn't compulsory on everyone, only on those who have a saving and so they have to pay 2.5% of their saving. This is because, we Muslims believe that our wealth which we have isn't ours, rather it is given to us by Allah and so we should use it to help others!

If Zakat is implemented properly, poverty and need can be easily eliminated. Those who receive Zakat in this year will join next year those who will pay the Zakat and by this year by year many more can be lifted out of poverty till the whole community doesn’t need to take Zakat no more.

It's not a membership fee. It is worship and a means to attain closeness to Allah and a individual act of worship for those that have enough saving. It's a means to avoid hell and enter paradise a piller if the relegion. Yes it benefits the poor and needy but it benefits the individual the most in this life and in the Hereafter a way to apparantly demonstrate the correct belief in the true God and obediance to the true creater. There are strict guidelines by which a person becomes eligible for zakat. I don't know everyone but I don't think many in the UK would be eligible. You have to be extremely poor with very minimal assets, gold or worldly possessions

Zakat is an Arabic word for donation. Donation is thought holy and divine act in other religions as well. There is no need to paint Islam in a different light or that Muslims need zakat to survive. Most Muslims don't. It is an act of charity and it is no different from other acts of charity. This very statement shows Muslims are poor and weak and are dependant on other's donation to survive. I do not understand, why are Muslims treated differently from Christians and Jews. Islam's preaching may have slight modification here and there, but it has been stated in many scripts that Prophet Muhammad didn't preach anything new. He just changed old Christian and Jewish belief, or should I say, modified, so that usurped class of the society gets a bit of priviledge. I do not believe in any religion. I am a deist. I take religion as a sort of political conundrum that harness fear and lies to dominate, or should I say, control a certain class of the society. Women mostly fall prey to this political system. So, I abhor it. It had done little for peace and happiness of humans. It created more division, hatred, war and a class who harness fear and lies to earn free money in the name religion for doing absolutely nothing. They call themselves religious preachers. Christians and Jews should stop treating Muslims and their way of doing things differently. They are no different from you. A lot of things taught in Islam are also taught in Christianity and Judaism.

No, zakat is only given to muslims, and the one on whom zakat is compulsary cannot take zakat from anyone, but there is sadaqah(charity) that can be given to both muslims and non-muslims.

Zakat has never been ‘membership fee’ and never will be. That’s why we believe and say people like you are not muslim and also been used to misguide people...

These lot saved my life when my benefits were cut and I couldn’t feed myself as I’m disabled from an accident. They gave me £1000 and this made me very very thankful to them and Allah and his zakat system.

They employed a french company called Atos who were paid basically to defraud people of their benefits. If it wasn’t for these lot and Zakat I do not know how I would of survived. They saved my life

The Arabs used to perform the rituals of Hajj while they were naked because they believed that giving up their clothes means giving up their sins and sins. Athaan ( praying call) 👇 The pagan Arabs had a “call” similar to the call of Muslims “ Athaan” while performing their rituals, and it was as follows: “Oh God, you have no partner but a partner who is yours, you own it and what is yours… “Oh God! “Oh God! 👉 "Stoning" The pagan Arabs also practiced stoning as one of the rites of Hajj, but the one who was stoned was not Satan, but rather a character called Abu Raghaal, a character representing betrayal, so that the Arabs believed that he was the one who guided Abraha ( the Christians leader )the Abyssinian to the Kaaba on his journey to the Arabian Peninsula in order to demolish it and to bring an end to pagan society and when the Abraha army reached Wadi Al-Mughims, north of Mount Arafa (currently the Green Valley) Abu Rghal died and was buried there, and the Arabs began stoning his grave while they were performing the rites of Hajj... When a Muslim dies everything we have done in this life is cut off except 3 things: valuable knowledge, sadaqah jariyah, and a believing child who prays for their parents. I'm not supporting having many children or few, I'm saying maybe one of the people's considerations is that when they die they will want more children that can pray for them.

@d the best yes u right .. they are many hadees of prophet where parents should b fully aware and b dutiful of their children .. if they wanna give birth they should also take the responsibilities .. lik education food shelter and clothing etc it's until they are completely adult and are able to stand on their feet as well .. similarly those children when there parents bcom old shud NVR leave them and help them wit everything .. until death .. This is Sharia ..
