Honestly the vickers mk7 would be the only UK mbt that is worth it in my opinion because of the speed. But I'm not grinning any more toptier nations than I have now. Cuz ya know.. mental health

@@hacherskanon3082 I've got Abrams, Leclerc, 2a5/6 and t80bvm but no brits. And honestly speed is everything so I didn't go for the challengers. Might try them if I find the courage to grind them

What im even more surprised of is the fact that gj just didnt copypaste the performance of the L26 to the Cr.1's, instead they gave it the "charge 8" as i believe its called since the L11A5 cant handle the same breech pressure as the L30A1. So thats my first compliment of GJ in over a yearXD

Vickers mk7 is BEAST. I bought talisman for it and grinded whole rank VII. Definetly recommended

1:40 the Leopard 2A4 model in game is the 1994 model, so it would have improved armor and would have used DM33, more interestingly the Leopard 2PL would use DM53A1 and DM63

This is hands down one of the best tanks in the british tech tree . It pairs very nicely with the 10.0 9.7 lineup . As you said its super nice being able to have a tank for quickly returning to a position or flanking whilst also having Britain's hull down fighters like the challys . Additionally this thing is really good at brawling simply because the turret armor is so troll . The lining around the breach and certain connecting areas are like 1000mm thick and are a shell magnet when fighting the onslaught of turms tards who dont know how to kill you since britian players are so rare .

Same thing happened with the M1A2 Abrams. The in-game model is actually a SEP variant.

I'm having the same experience with the Leo 2a4, gaijin gives me 11.0 games once in a blue moon. Meanwhile I get constant 9.7 and 9.3 so it's lots of fun.

The post pen on short rods is almost non existent though, plus short rods bounce things they shouldn't (because of gaijins poor implementation) very often... I will need to re-spade this but having used L26 on the Challenger 2 at 10.3 for the longest time, I don't see that this will be better than the 2A4, perhaps it will be on par. The 2A4 has to be one of my favourite tanks in the game, so maybe I am a little bias.

14:10 point where your shot landed has about 300mm of armor. If you shoot the rubber padding just below that, theres 200mm of armor. 2A4s gunner side has now just as much effective armor tha the entirety of the turret face of a Tiger 2, and nothing to combat its opponents. The gunners armor must be a glitch, since in every patch the armor of the 2A4 changes. First from 430 -> 470 -> 420 and now to 200 - 400mm respectivelly

@@spotty4710 it wasnt just nerfed. After the addition of the t72b3, in almost every update upuntil the 2020 new power, the turret protection changed. Im not saying that the gunners side was made weaker, but instead the armor layout was significntly changed by increasing the amount of space taken by the gunners optics. Before that it was regularly on the levels of ~470mm for the gunners and ~490 for the loaders, after the addition of the 72b3 it was reduced to ~440/450mm. Early 2020it was changed to ~420mmbut the gunners side stayed the same up until the new power where magically the gunners side has a HUGE gap where there's only 200mm whilst the loader has 400mm. They gave not a single notification about changing it and theforums provide zero answers even if you sent a message to one of the members resobonsable of this subject. Granted the tank never had stellar armor, but this is just idiotic considering the 2pl doesnt have this issue in its armor layout behind the spaced armor, so something must be wrong, and since the tank isnt top tier anymore, they dont care

He did quite a few of them, ZTZ-96/96A/99/59D1,69-IIG etc, maybe he might want to try out WMA301 or his cousin PTL02

Vickers Mk 7 just got nerfed, you cant change my mind. L 26 and L23A1 are very similar rounds in practice. Both pen the front plate of a T72A neither pen T72B's. The only difference it makes is against the IPM1 and M1 since it now has a chance to go through the turret. That's the only change in practicality that L26 made and now Challenger and Vickers got raised to 10.0. The IPM1 and M1 have faster rates of fire, better armor, and similar weapon performance (since it doesnt have to face IPM1's unless mixed battle).

Now I'm a Britain main I love the british tanks. But when you compare the Challenger Mk3 and Vickers against all the other 10.0 tanks they come up lacking. They don't have high end thermals or rounds that can go through T72B's. Even the Vickers just barely keeps pace with 10.0 T72s and T80s, the 2A4 has similar mobility but significantly better turret armor.

IPM1 and M1? their rounds top at 398mm and 374mm of pen, mobility is the same, no hunter killer, the only true advantage is reload, and their armor difference is irrelevant when the first m1 has a weaker armor layout and the neck negates their armor, 2a4 has a weaker turret layout and a weaker round, the right cheek can be penetrated by the 84mm apds, T-80B? all it has it's a strong turret and good ammo but also being slower, shit reverse, and a vickers can simply fire and get back into cover, same for the challenger, they aren't lacking in any regards. It's literally better than the 2a4 L26 allows you to pen the UFP of 2a5/6s while the rounds in most 10.0s can't do that besides the T80B and you still have a better round

Ok at this point the normal m1 Abrams needs to go to 9.7 or get a better round. Every other 10.0 is better. The m1 is more on par with the TTD and the turms with its lack of armor and low pen

I don't think the M1 should go down. Instead, the BR cap should be raised to 12.0+ so top tier tanks would get more spread out.

@@DS-cv3cx yeah, BRs should go up, 11.0 barely made a difference and most 9.7s got moved to 10.0 so the change didn't really matter, and either way i don't want 8.7s fighting abrams

ariete has a stronger turret with the warkit mod, PSO only is good for sideshots against heat rounds and some autocannons

Yeah, I agree with this. You’ll get so excited and engaged into winning a game, respawn, rush towards the battlefield to try to clutch the win, and just suddenly get exploded by a missile, ending your contribution to the battle completely and leaving you disappointed.

Don't hold your breath. Classic gaijin stats are too high for the swedish mbts. Expect no buffs. Anytime a minor nation is only played by players who are tired of of majors, you can expect their balance to be shit. Those players are generally better then the norm so the stats are inflated due to no average Joe's to do meh in it.

If they just give the last Swedish leo the Swedish DM43 equal it would be more in line with the power creep that was the 2A6. So lets take a second and actually think.
