The British Guy takes the US Citizenship test - with answers - this is a comedy video where the British Guy tests his wits on all things America to see if he can pass the US Citizenship test !
New U.S. Citizenship Test Is Longer and More Difficult
Critics say the new test is harder for English learners. It features more nuanced questions and highlights such issues as states’ rights and the Vietnam War.
The Trump administration is rolling out sweeping changes to the test immigrants must take to become United States citizens, injecting hints of conservative philosophy and making the test harder for many learners of the English language.
The new citizenship test that went into effect on Tuesday is longer than before, with applicants now required to answer 12 out of 20 questions correctly instead of six out of 10. It is also more complex, eliminating simple geography and adding dozens of possible questions, some nuanced and involving complex phrasing, that could trip up applicants who do not consider them carefully.
Of the 18 questions removed from the previous test, 11 were questions that had simple, sometimes one-word answers.
The new test adds one more hurdle for immigrants who hope to become voting citizens, coming in the waning days of an administration that has imposed substantial new barriers to immigration and limits on the ability of those already in the country to aspire to legal residence and, eventually, naturalization.
One test question that has drawn particular scrutiny provides a new answer to the question, “Who does a U.S. Senator represent?” Previously, the answer was “all people of the state”; on the new test, it is “citizens” in the state.
Singled out for a new question is the 10th Amendment, which reserves to the states all powers not specifically granted to the federal government, a part of the Bill of Rights that is a favorite among conservatives questioning federal authority.
Another new question, “Why did the United States enter the Vietnam War?” has one answer that is considered correct: “to stop the spread of Communism.” The test does not take on the issue of the vehement protests or the huge death toll stemming from the war.
Immigration organizations, including some that have helped thousands of people complete their naturalization applications over the past decade, warn that the new test could make it harder for poor immigrants from non-English-speaking countries to become citizens and ultimately suppress the number of immigrants who vote.

Regarding the Declaration of Independence: The people of the colonies were being deprived of their rights as > Englishmen < and their complaints to the British government were being ignored or even denied. At the time, about a third of the population in the colonies wanted independence, a third were loyalists, and a third were in between. The denials of their rights as Englishmen convinced the middle third to support the revolution. Think about that.

It's okay, dude. I couldn't get most of this either and I'm an American from Arkansas 🙂 it makes me respect all immigrants who takes the test and go through all the neverending crap just to become a citizen
You did well!
Hey, man. Anything over a 60 is passing. You did it!
Ok we will take you! You probably got more of these answers correct than many Americans. Sad I know. I missed a few myself and I paid attention in school but it’s been a long time. Lol
I hate when background music has me dancing and I will never find out what it is. You did better than I would have, which makes me sad. LOL
Yes, you would be let in. Lol
I think it's funny that a bunch of the ones you had no clue on, I didn't either lololol
Son, I can't thank you enough for this channel. I just recently found you and absolutely love you. Don't you dare think for one minute that we Americans don't like you British. We certainly do. (I know you were likely kidding.) And I wouldn't begin to know a drop in the bucket of your countries questions. Heck I didn't know a lot of my own! I think you did wonderfully and you'd be so warmly welcome here. Just know that please. :)
You did pretty good.
the fact is, that you probably got more answers right then most American citizens could today. Many Americans show their hatred of America and you show gueniue respect for America. So, I would take you as a citizen in a heartbeat!!
LOL---July 6!!!
You actually did quite well.
