    @@josephrion3514 I mean, Coca Cola isn't spelled coke, so it kind of makes sense that people wouldn't call a coca cola a coke. What annoys me is how in one restaurtant they will give me all the soda options when I ask for a coke and at another restaurant across the street they'll assume I want a coca cola when I say coke. Inconsistency is what annoys me. Most places just let you fill your own drink, these days, though. So the problem is kind of moot.

But chemist had no meaning to the receptionist there. She just gave me a blank stare. I had to say ‘the place you buy medicine’. And was told, no, there was no pharmacist in the mall. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

    Haha, I definitely would have been confused as well! @@Alyakismydutchname Chemists to us are simply people who are experts in chemistry. It's a really broad term in contrast to pharmacist which is specifically about medicine and only medicine. @F.B.I • Federal Bureau of Investigation The pharmacies where I live are mostly in Targets, Walmarts, and big name grocery stores like Giant. I guess malls are dying in America so they aren't really in malls anymore, at least near me. But I know with the giant near me they have a drive through on the side of the building for the pharmacy where you just pull in, give them your ID, and they give you whatever medicine the doctor prescribed to you.

  • @AJeazy

    @AJeazy

    And then on the inside of the grocery store or Walmart/Target they will have a pharmacy section that includes just an over-the-counter section which is the medicine that doesn't require a prescription to buy. That'd be like multivitamins, Tylenol, melatonin, cough syrup, etc. I've only ever had one prescription in my life and it was for prednisone so that's really the only reason i know about the drive through.
