The glass thing is actually easy to explain. If you have a glass with on concave bottom what can happen if the glass is wet it can slide on a smooth surface. Its why most glasses bottles and jars have some sort of textured and concave bottom.

Everything in this video is fake or can be explained with physics. But, I admit that they are fun to watch! About that glass....Simple physics. The glass formed condensation that collected at the base of and beneath the glass. The water UNDER the glass created enough pressure to slightly lift the glass. As the glass slid the water was dispersed leaving only enough water beneath it to create a suction strong enough to make the glass "stick" to the table. This is actually a very common occurrence when you have two very smooth surfaces (such as glass) and water between the the two surfaces.

  • @brentm5148

The first one with the glass. If the glass has had a cold liquid in it, it could have condensation on the outside and on the bottom. If the glass table is even slightly out of level when the glass is moved, it could be sliding on that moisture. I've had it happen to me at the kitchen table.

  • @briankirchhoefer

The glass is completely a natural occurrence. Condensation forms on the glass, runs down to the glass table and an air bubble gets trapped under the glass. The glass moves because of the temperature difference between the glass and the table.

actually there's a general consensus, at least among researchers and wildlife experts, that the mothman is really a heron/stork. those red eyes are common in photos where flash is used, and the human-shaped form is largely attributed to the long, lanky legs. mix that with a wishful mindset, and you have mothman.

4:40 This is something I have seen many times, especially in humid environments. A glass of cool drink will cause the glass to sweat, and condensation will form a small puddle under the glass. In certain situations, the water gets trapped under the glass. As it tries to escape, the glass will literally float on the water across the table. This works best with smooth surfaces, like glass on glass. It also results in a slight vacuum, like a suction cup, that makes the glass "stick" to the table.

I'm very skeptical about these things too. I did have a weird thing happen in 1998 at our home about an hour outside of Chicago. It was in the afternoon, my husband, myself and our 2 golden retrievers were enjoying our large backyard. All of a sudden there was a massive EXTREMELY BRIGHT light in the sky. We saw no objects, just this terribly bright light (like bright enough that you almost felt like it could hurt your eyes. We couldn't see any objects that it came from, but it illuminated a space of at least 150 yards. The light came all of a sudden, lasted maybe 5 seconds and was gone. I looked at my husband because I thought I was crazy, he looked at me and asked 'What was that?!'. He moved to the U.S. from the UK a few years prior, and didn't know if it was some sort of a test or something that he just hadn't been aware of. The dogs were catching frisbee's and stopped dead in their tracks. They just looked around sort of confused. It was weird, and I never heard anything more about it. We didn't know our neighbors well, and we never asked them if they saw it. Like I said, I am very skeptical of stuff, but it was caused by something....we just didn't know what.

The glass can occur with condensation on the table under the glass, but I don't see any ice in the glass or water on the table.

The glass was basically hydroplaning(not literally). I've seen it happen a number of times over my lifetime. Nothing paranormal about it. I say hydro because it happens more often on glass surfaces when a drink has condensation on it. I've also seen it happen with soda cans on a glass surface. It can happen with or without the condensation, though I've only ever seen it happen without condensation when the drink is in a glass container on a glass surface.

The cold sweaty glass 9n the table is a trick I do all the time. Take a glass of ice water and pick it up hold it for a few seconds so the condensation gets on the bottom of it. Put it down on the same wet spot you picked it up from qnd it will move by itself. The proof is when he said when he tried to pick it up it was stuck. The air created a pillow type effect. Water on top air in the middle water on the bottom with the weight of the glass on top will make it move everytime! Play with it ... it's a cool trick

I believe that the first video is condensation under the glass. On a glass table, it can cause it to slide if it is not level. It would also explain why he couldn't move it back because it would suction to the glass table.

I've seen a glass slide before.. It has to be a glass or polished surface with a little condensation on the bottom of the glass or cup.. A little vibration sets it moving.

I think there was something magnetic on the bottom of the glass. You could then have a string with a magnet under the table that would not be seen. Which is probably why he could not pick the glass up.

15:25 The case changing color can easily be achieved using a video filter that isolates the green case and applies a chroma filter to make it red in real-time. This effect would be visible on video but not in person. Most consumer video programs can accomplish this, and it can certainly be done by any professional news setup. It would also explain why it was still green behind the car.

The first one with the glass is caused by condensation on the glass. Because of the smooth table top and shape of the bottom of the glass water forms under the glass causing it to slip across the table. When he attempted to pick it up he was trying to pick it straight up causing suction.

You have to keep in mind CGI for things like the 'Bird'. There was a 'News Cast' in South American Country (If I remember correctly it was Peru), where they showed an alien Creature walking behind the Journalist doing an Interview outside, where the Alien walked about 20 feet 'In Shot' off to the side, that made a huge buzz. It was later found out that the Newsroom Director added the creature in using CGI after tens of Thousands of people called in to the Newsroom telling them it was there.

A glass will often move when condensation builds up underneath the glass. Being that it is setting on a glass surface. It is more likely to move than on a porous surface. And suction created by the condensation would explain why he couldn't lift the glass.

This is what I was thinking too. When water condenses under the glass it also forms a bubble which lifts the glass slightly making it glide. Like a hovercraft. That being said, i dont see any water on the table

Watch the same videos without the provided context and your common thoughts would explain what is actually happening. It’s a technique that many different industries use.
