Remember traveling this train from New Westminster to Chilliwack to see my Moms relatives in the 1950's.

Wish it would be available in these days as most of my relatives still live in Chilliwack and I in South Surrey.

Wow, the old Paramount Theatre! Such a shame it was torn down, a very iconic piece of Chilliwack history..

An era long gone, never to be lived again. I'm just old enough to remember this time.....and I miss it ! Life was simpler and it allowed us to live it. Watching this video I can smell that time, the warm sunshine and everything thing moved slowly. Thanks.

Incredible that this is still available. The Interurban is something my father always told me about in reference to his childhood and to actually see it in operation is amazing !

My grandparents who were from Vancouver. Always told me stories about these trollies. And for the Chilliwack locations. 09:58 - Chilliwack station/ no longer there. At the end of 5th & Nowell street. 10:07 The Empress hotel/ no longer there. Corner of Princess Ave. And Young Rd. 10:44 Standing at (Five) corners. Looking down Yale street towards little mountain. Paramount theatre is no longer there on the left. 11:07 Old Chilliwack court house I believe. On the corner of Court Ln and College St

I love how the last clip, the resolution is so low that you can’t see the tracks in the street, so it looks like the train just goes rogue at the end.

Enjoyed the video. Recently I drove by one of the old power houses in langley, had to google what the building was. Prince George has a couple of BC's old electric trains at the museum - was neat to see.

Great video , it was time when promising future on horizon , electric locomotives , the Rail Transportation should upgraded and keep electrified Rail Roads , look at sample in Switzerland , Norway, Sweden for comparison to clime excuse , unfortunately Canadian transportation network fell back at least 25 -30 years behind developed nations !

I like when he says "station".. and it's a little wood shack. Like something used to be for bus shelters when I was a kid. You know what? I wish I could time warp myself back there. I'd buy me a house for 10k and just live decent, away and safe from all the insanity and misery of today! Seriously. Where is my time machine, dang it!

2:53 I'm pretty sure this big white building is still there. Someone lives in it. I remember about 10 years ago getting yelled at from the resident to move along after parking in their driveway for a few minutes. We'd heard it was haunted 😂 and there was a creepy mannequin in the window.
