Glasgow Corporation buses at 6mins +; in a rain soaked Glasgow scene. Still the same today lol and the bus museum does occasional runs in the buses of this livery to this day 👍 thanks for posting
Thankyou.I loved this.Beautiful charm and character of buses.
Do not change the music, it adds to the character. I enjoyed it and actually rewound to listen again. Thanks for the upload btw.
I loved the old RTs with their pre selector gearbox , spent many an hour on them.
I love the subtle sound effects.... and the songs too.....oh and the buses and coaches of course!!
Great shots, lots of memories flooding back, spent many years driving RT,s and RM,s on routes 77, 77b, 155 and 49 out of Merton Garage, SW19. The person who mentioned the double deck coaches is thinking of the Bristol VRL, engine mounted vertically lengthways at the rear offside. This was operated by many companies by then all painted in the white of National Express.
Thanks, great to see buses from my childhood.
1:15 Hastings buses. Thanks for the upload. Britain will never be the same now - it's lost.
Beautiful! Thank-you!
Lovely buses, all of them, many thanks for posting your photos.
The music at the beginning was perfect..thank you so much for posting this, enjoyed it from start to finish, just ignore the fools that you'll never satisfy on here (and why bother even trying to!)
Useful
Standerwick ran Leyland Atlanteen double decker coaches to the North West but not at 100mph. Midland Red operated between London and Birmingham when the M1 opened with 100 mph single deck coaches specially built by them for the purpose. They soon restricted them to a mere 90 mph in the interest of fuel economy.
Loved it ... " hold tight"... thanx!
The first four pictures are from Brighton: picture 1, the Old Steine; picture 2,, outside Brighton Station; picture 3, Western Road; and picture 4, Brighton's main bus station, Pool Valley.
Very good, love all the Southdown, M&D, London Country and LT stuff, I took a Ex Southdown Queen Mary open topper to Paris two years running a few years back,, bet im theres not many done that, and nice seeing tin front Leylands later on took my test and a Ex Manx on a good while ago now thx for posting
Fine pictures and I didn't mind the song at all (although I probably wouldn't want to hear it every day!). If you do a video devoted solely to LT, you might be able to use some Flanders and Swan. Thanks.
For a minute I thought the music was courtesy of Monty Python lol!

Great comment! xD
The 21st century is a good time to live in with all this technology and medical advances and everything but there is something about life from the 50s to the early 90s that I find intreging and a great era to live in evn if there were ups and downs like any era. Would love to explore those times and see how people lived
yeah fantastic vid.if the wingers stop winging they will hear the engine sounds.
this is my memory in 1960 in singapore a.leyland guy bus the company name singapore traction company
Sorry i don`t recall them, you sure they were not using the M1 for testing but. Found this below on Wikipedia, the company was Midland Red. "1959: The introduction of the CM5T, a turbocharged coach capable of almost 100 mph, for non-stop motorway services"
Keep the music it's great

Now the National Audit Office, Buckingham Palace Road. Opposite Victoria Coach Station.
Can someone please identify the bus at 3.58 for me..? I remember them well when growing up, but they disappeared I guess around the mid 70's. Only thing I remember is that i'm sure they were powered by a 5 cylinder Gardner engine..? Many thanks..

Yuxin Wang This is a Bristol Ominus MW, fitted with the 5 cylinder Gardiner engine. It was new in October 1958 and operated with Bristol until January 1976

Beulah22 Can I confirm the name with you..? Is it 'Ominus' or 'Omni-bus' ?? Also are you referring to the single deck green bus at 3.58 - 4.03? Thanks again..
