    Hi Steve, some cam netting over the top in amongst the foliage and you will not be seen. That bivi was designed for a roll mat and army gonk bag. It's similar to the Dutch army bivi which isn't very spacious. What I found about using my bivi in cold weather is it gets lots of condensation inside as it's technically single skin. Nice little wood👍 with many spaces to pitch👌and tripod instruction was clear. It was nice weather to film. Until your next adventure atb Taff 🤠

    Definitely Taff, might give the camo netting a try and see what it looks like! I was going to use my accordion matt underneath, but wanted to see if I could get my air mat in there and it ain't bad for space, just the pillow was the main issue, but I can do without that. It's a lovely little woodland about 15 mins walk from my house, only downside is the road, but it's not terrible. That's good about the tripod, I'm glad the instructions where clear 😁 Cheers for watching mate 👍

    Hi , new subscriber here, this is the best review of this bivvy on yt ... I replaced the seyntex poles with custom aluminium ones much better imo... Also I put my mat under the tent ..much more head room . My beef is with the condensation ... So I used my chantonnay ,french army ,goretex , centre zip bivvy as an outer layer for my carinthia tropen or defence 4 sleping bag depending on the season... This makes it like a double skin tent , cures the problem . Great video ..

    Hi thank you very much and cheers for the tips. I've not encountered condensation problems just yet, but I have only used it in fair weather to be fair. Really sounds like you have taken yours through its paces 👍

    Nice one Steve, looked a nice chilled camp. Interesting bit of kit buddy nice and stealthy. I've the snugpak stratosphere I like it but not my favorite. Sarnie looked well nice. Still got the second part of your camp with Carl to watch, forgot all about it until you mentioned it. 👍👍👍

    Steak was alright, Steve. SAS bivvy may be a tad tight for my liking. I’ll give you £23 for yours 😁 DA one is pretty much the same apart from side opening which is great. Agree with you that road noise can help shield our own noise threat we may make when wood prepping etc. You’re a better man than me. I can’t put my boots on stood up anymore 🤣🤣🤣

  • @ScoutManSteve

    @ScoutManSteve

    Жыл бұрын

    No chance Tim, I've actually grown to like the weird coffin setup 🤣 Side opening seems cool, but I can understand why it was designed this way, less chance of it being wet inside. The road noise is annoying, but it does have its benefits in the right setting. Fortunately I'm still able to stand up and get the boots on. Cheers for watching Tim 👍

    Looks a bit of a tight fit that mate... the Dutch army was too claustrophobic for me...I'd die in that, kinda cool but a side entry would of been a better design from the BA, IMO

  • @ScoutManSteve

    @ScoutManSteve

    Жыл бұрын

    It definitely is tight mate, but I can understand why it was designed this way, great being able to put all your kit inside. Not having the side zip makes it difficult to get in, but it will definitely be way more water entering in the rain. I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt and oddly I've grown to like it after this camp, but maybe that's because I'm weird 🤪 lol.
