I'm really happy you stated it's a 1st 🌎 problem. There are too many yuppies on YT who complain about everything, not realizing how fortunate they are to be able to even fly

I was excited to be flying first LHR-SFO DFW-LHR after watching videos like this, looks amazing! The first leg was was excellent but the return was unfortunately a disappointment. Not the product but the service. I had at first a male flight attendant who was excellent. But after take off a woman appeared, and offstandish when she was around, took a long time to bring simple things like water or a coke. She was so absent that I got tired of waiting and made my own bed. I woke 1.5 hours before anyone else and...no one...crickets, Even though they saw me awake. But as soon as the lady across woke she wasn't even sitting all the way up before her attendant (who was different from mine) was there, a few minutes later she had her coffee and breakfast. I had to get up to go to the gally to ask for coffee. And then serving breakfast was almost borderline rude, to where you ask yourself, what did I do, and felt she didn't like me much or is she just having a bad day? I really don't want it sound like whining, it's just that it is one of the reasons' I love BA because you are so well treated by the staff. Always have been, until that flight. And I was looking forward to the pampering and the luxury of it all. Plus, purchasing a ticket right out (no upgrade) you expect a level of service especially from BA First and watching everyone else on your flight be pampered and fawned over by the other staff was not enjoyable.

So much food you had!

I've never had bad service on a BA long haul. Although their hard product can't compete with many of the other carriers (though always better than AA), the crew and 'Britishness' add a degree of comfort that helps elevate the overall product. I say this as a Brit, so I'm not a sucker for the accent, lol.

Been a champion of BA but just did a F flight to JfK and back to LHR. In 2024 both were 'old' product like i last flew in 2015!. LHR leg was 14 seats still. 10 min queue at First Wing. Service onboard not what it was in terms of regular offering of refreshments. In fact omitted to tell me of the dessert available as an example. Second 'snack meal' felt rushed and it was just not what i remember. First world problems and i don't like opulence of far east airlines but BA need to up game or scrap F altogether.

The trick to getting premium Champagne in the Chelsea Lounge is to order it at the bar, and be clear and assertive about it, asking the bartender what they have hidden away. Otherwise you end up with NV Moet as you discovered!

Well done Ken and the British Airways Lounge in terminal 8 is way better than what it used to be in Terminal 7 the old British airways Terminal which was small and crowded. Speaking of British Airways to New York City they operate to both EWR and JFK.

I enjoyed that, but Chelsea does not have a soccer team, it's football, a British breakfast does not include a croissant or bread pudding, and it's usually horseradish sauce with beef, but tartar sauce is possible, but so wrong!

Thank you for the review. Interesting to see BA's current First product and especially their ground offering in NYC - if only they could offer such a level service on all their routes. The infamous title of 'the world's best business class' always resonated with me whenever I travelled it. I've never been a fan of the seats (always too hard!) and didn't like how the service tended to be semi-casual. Your experience was more akin to what I would expect BA to offer - to play on their traditional British DNA and for service to be more formal. I would be tempted to try them again on the routes they're more competitive although they have a lot of ground to make up with the Middle and Far East competitors, less so on transatlantic routes. PS how do you manage to fit so much food in? You must have hollow legs!

Sometimes BA is worth the extra cost; my last experience in Club World return LHR/SIN was a mega failure. Never ever again on BA long haul

...unfortunately run with the same failed IT as the rest of BA and with the same appalling cabin maintenance and cleaning #BestAvoided

Good review, but for life of me I don't understand why 95% of you airline vloggers use white text, when there's so much white, cream and beige in the background? I've just watched another flight review where the vlogger used a darker bar with white text inside which made it far more legible.

Are friendly good looking attractive male cabin crew few and far between now on airlines?
