BRITISH AIRWAYS 787-9 to SINGAPORE | Economy All You Need to Know!

We're flying to Singapore onboard British Airways and we're trying out economy or World Traveller on their Boeing 787-9. In short, it's a mixed experience. Food was good, hard product was poor and of course Heathrow ground delays left us with over 16 hours onboard. BA have so much potential in their amazing staff, they're consistently let down by bad management and poor investment choices. Come on BA, let's do better?

@@JTsJourneys well, i really appreciated your video. 👍 ill explain it more- I watch a lot of these and there are some good channels out there but i liked how your one had a sort of more gritty realism thats unique. I like how you can clearly get the feel for being in that chair for ages and it reminded me of the endurance on a long flight :) as i haven’t travelled long haul for many years now. Im 6ft 1 and quite broad so seeing the leg room and seat width is important for me! That arms would be annoying for me im sure. Theres a lot of Videos showing the buisness and first class which are awesome but its also nice to see the economy and premium too as most people will travel these and you presented it well. I had a potential (not happening now) for a short work trip to Singapore so that led me here as thought id be on this flight at the weekend. Maybe one day ill go though. Thanks for pointing out windowless seat too. I hope people at BA watching this as that Inflight entertainment is important on these long flights, reminds me to make sure i got my own entertainment too if im traveling 🙈 One thing i might say is if you are going through airports a lot, is explanation of maybe some of the nuances if there are any as i know some people get stressed over airport procedure and finding the way around. It usually clear but it can freak people out regarding how much time they need and how far to gates etc etc. Anyway- its a big message but thanks for the video. Hope the trip was good and safe travels to you both!

Thks for this video. BA is really cheap for SIN-LONDON route, around 30% cheaper than Singapore Airlines. But I heard many horror stories on BA and your video helps to reaffirm that. Maybe that is why it is 2/3 of the fare of other airlines for this route.

But as if the flight to SIN isn't long enough as it is, without having to be crammed into those seats for three hours without actually going anywhere! Very frustrating. @@JTsJourneys AirAsia is the best flight deal. A domestic flight within Malaysia is a lot cheaper than an international, which is why you are tempted to make the land crossing to Johor Baharu. But it's not worth it standing in line with heavy luggage. And JB is not exactly safe. Shame the train's not available. From KL there are plenty of destinations within Malaysia, West and East. Or you could take the new train to Penang, even to the Thai border. Have a good trip. Jack, the Japan Alps Brit

I do something similar. We don’t travel to much outside of points redemptions right now so it’s a fine balance for us between earning and spending, hence the economy vs premium trips. For this particular flight it was around £750 cheaper each to use points and pay taxes due to the time of year, so at 35k points each we calculated it as quite a good redemption rate for us. On tier points we don’t hold any status at the moment and as most of our BA flights are 241 redemptions we’re not aiming to move into bronze anytime soon (despite us wanting to climb that ladder!)
