I'm actually flying to Ghana in a couple of hours an will be filming that . Before i starting filming I use to get annoyed as I love watching plan reviews but it was always business or first class, which I rarely fly. so its nice to do economy which I believe most people fly. Thanks for your subscription that also means a lot too.

On my flight i had a boy sitting behind me, don't know if he was smacking the IFE or kicking the seat, but at one point I just thought don't parents tell they kids off for doing these thing. How was your flight Umafranklin crazygirl?

Reviews By Yaa thank you my flight was very good! The smoothest I’ve ever been on. I flew on the refurbished G-VIIR. Food was questionable. Sorry for the late reply. Sadly I couldn’t get any food at the airport cos my flight already boarding when I arrived. The IFE was so much better as well and could charge my phone

Very nice report , good video quality coming from a cell phone i must admit. Found your video helpful since i will b flying BA in a few months to another caribbean destination on board a 777-200 as well.

Great video. Did You feel a little itchy and pass it off as just fabric itch? Sadly those fabric seats are a breeding ground for tiny early stage bedbugs.

Awesome vid, flew this same route but with a Thomson 787-8, which they then upgraded to the -9 the week after I got back to the UK :')

I had high expectations for their 787 and they were met & succeeded. The crew were very friendly and the cabin had a lovely atmosphere, not just because of the low cabin altitude but because everyone was happy haha. Food was also very good, they stuffed a meal or snack onto your tray table often which I liked lmao

I’ve flown both Tui 787-8 and 9 and I can say they were the best. I’m flying with BA to PUJ in June so I’m hoping they’ve upgraded by then! :-)

One of the best B777 vids. Liked the shots of the terminal building. Any chance of slowing it down. When I started watching it I thought you were seating in 4k, if there is such a seat.

9:42 i remember when i was in a garuda indonesia 737-800 singapore to jakarta, when a eva air 777-300 did a pushback before us, i could hear the engine start loud and clear from my plane's cabin... what an engine!

Hey Pete B, in regards to filming I usually don't have any trouble , but on this flight it was my first time where I was told by a flight attendant to get permission from the lead flight attendant. Its weird because on that same flight I had another attendant who asked me what I was filming but that was pure fascination as they saw my mount attached to the window. I just try to be cautious and not film peoples faces as much a I can , without filming the floor to much.

great video, I have a concern tho, I'll be travelling alone in November and have a disability which prevents me from been able to look up, which means I'll struggle seeing signs at the airport and seat number etc, is there help I'd be able to get? I struggle to walk aswell depending how bad a day I'm having

Thank you so much for watching and I really do appreciate you taking the time to watch my video :) Which airline will you be flying with ? I also have a medical illness which causes me to have poor mobility among other issues when flying, its ones of the main reason I fly with BA as they are very accommodating and always provide me bulkhead seats for my leg. At every airport in the UK they have special assistant services which can accommodate any need you may need to travel. Usually when you book your flight if you go to my manage flight section you can confirm you will need special assistance and confirm your disability with the airline. Or even call them before you book the flight. If you need anymore help please let me know and I would be more then happy to help :)

May I suggest a periscope? Sorry, only joking, you should contact the airline well in advance and they should be able to provide assistance. You'll still get a horrible meal though.

Do you know if there is any refurbished versions of this plane? I'm flying it from gatwick to Tampa in Florida in less than a week?

I think the refurbished versions of these planes fly out of heathrow, i am yet to see one fly out of gatwick that is refurbished. I think it will be an old plane sadly. Let me know if its not and thank you for watching.

Thank you for taking your time to watch, I very much agree with you but luckily there should be no triple 7 planes from Gatwick that look like this. BA did a massive refurb and I used a triple 7 to go Mauritius and the plane was in a much better condition, with lots of IFE selections.

Yeah, the cabin is very dated by now. I believe these seats were first introduced in the late 90s and then updated at some point during the 2000s. I remember flying on a BA 777-200 like this from Gatwick back in 2010 (around about 10 years ago as of this September).

Hi John , thank you for taking your time to watch, where do you fly off too ? I booked this seat via BA online, you do have to pay more for bulkhead seats. Some passengers chance it and wait until 48 hours before and book it for free but the chances are very slim.

I fly to Bangkok on wesday. when I book my ticket back in April row 15 is not available. I phone ba they said these seats are available 24 hours b4 flight

I cant even disagree with you there, presentation not the best and did not taste as bad had worse. BA could do better in my honesty when it comes to economy food.

I really hope they do refurb they 777-200 planes out of gatwick. its not much joy being on an old plane for 7 hours+ with that old IFE.

That cabin looks very dated, appears as if you're flying in 2004 lol. Nevertheless, fantastic flight review!

How were you able to get the trolley ride to the gate? Does it have to be requested? Do you have to pay? And do you have to have proof of disability?

Sorry for the delayed response and thank you for watching. Yes I request , when you book any flight if you go to manage my flight you can request for special assistance . Once you request this you can wheelchair or buggy access to you gate.

It's done via the airline/agent and then they pass the information onto the airport, I did not have to prove my disability but I know BA ask what type of assistance you need, they have 3 options I believe.

Are they gonna retrofit the cabin and refurbish it to the new one?

I read on plane forums that they were going to refit the cabin and I think they have with 777 planes that fly out of heathrow, I'm not to sure what they doing about the planes that fly out of gatwick. Its quite a shame cause the gatwick planes are getting really outdated compared to BA's competitors.

Me too I was gutted when i realised it was the old plane. I think the refurbished ones only come out of heathrow.

BA economy is the way to go Premium is not worth it unless around £100 more which some times you can find business how can it be called business when its so poor value. I travel to check Hotels out with Travel World Reviews and now book 3 economy seats ABC which is cheaper than Premium and you have a bed 3 seats to sleep on.

Willy Walsh and Alex Cruz,have turned the ba brand into a joke,no longer the fantastic airline it once was,as for paying for food at extortionate prices on short haul routes and very poor aircraft cleanliness inside and out ..yes just another budget airline is truly justified...

That economy class is awful and I’m British. Flown on the Emirates A380 and nothing else comes close.

I will agree with you BA have for sometime neglected their LGW fleet, but since last year they have been refurbishing most of their aircrafts at LGW. Hopefully the quality is good and makes a difference cause BA aint always cheap. Yeah their customer service can be really hit & miss.

I truly agree with you, the cabin is really outdated, its a disappointment to BA , as airlines like Virgin are ahead in terms of cabin interior and food I believe.

Its a very good question you ask, I have no clue but I think it is very poor on BA to leave the gatwick fleets in that sate. Especially when the old 777 are used for long haul flight of over 7+ hours.

I do aplogise if you didn't like watching this, it can be a bit hard to film as I would want to. As people do not feel comfortable with an unknown person recording their faces, so sometimes It results in parts of video showing the floor.

Gerry A Different flight attendants different attitudes, that is what I have realised. On my journey to Punta Cana there was one flight attendant if you watch the video when I'm trying to film the galley. I cut it short as she saw me filming and told me I need permission to film, which I know is not true as I have also done research and not seen any law in regards to filming on plane or any environment that would not breach security details. I suppose its the thought of the face being in a recording.

Just asked a retired BA cabin crew member what the airline policy is. There is none on BA but as a courtesy it may be better to ask rather than just assume you can video them while at work. Best not film bums and menus as they are not of interest. I like the LH ones where they show the airline in top form.
