Britannia taking on water in Atherstone.
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this video the Britannia along its route pulls into Atherstone Station to fill up with water. As there is no Water Tower the method of filling was done with a Water Tanker and a special Valve system.
The Britannia was built at Crewe works. It was named at a ceremony at Marylebone Station, by the then minister for transport Alfred Barnes, in January 1951.
The locomotive helped haul the funeral train of King George Vl, from Sandringham to Kings Cross in 1952.

Yep. Dragging the missus out before she starts work. The valve used in the video was its first use I overheard the maintenance crew say.
