This showman gave us a spectacle; loaded with personality, cool dance moves and beautiful music; mind-bending tricks and illusion coupled with emotionally touching historical references. He gave us himself when he gave us his lovely family and the love he feels for them. He did all that with ease, while in front of the world. That's a pro and on stage is where he belongs. I was rapt from start to finish. Idk who won the show but give this entertainer residency in Vegas, already!

But he is doing low-level illusions that anyone can learn and perfect in a short space of time. It's impressive for the lay-person, who along with the judges would have missed the mistake in his audition. Put it this way, he won't be getting a Fool Us Trophy on Penn & Teller. It's old recycled magic done in his unique way (but not that unique from the methods used by the original creators of these illusion). Don't get me wrong, his illusions were well performed and entertaining (and I hope he can make a good career out of this after his exposure on BGT), but if you going to win BGT for magic then it needs to be fresh newly created illusions with a high degree of difficulty to perform - IMO.

It would have been a more convincing illusion if they would have spun the box around once before he allegedly got in and again after. Those were too obviously not his hands through the holes. At 3.12 in this video, the ring on his left hand (our right) is very clearly on his middle finger. At 3.40 the ring is on the ring finger, not the middle finger. Somebody slipped up on that detail.
@afrifakwaku7539
3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, while he was still bending down to conceal himself in the box the hands were already coming out the hole and there seemed like a black cloth that covered the arm at the opening of the box. And though he faced the audience while entering the crate he turned to his side while the hands were coming out the hole. Look closely.
@micronerd8907

He also slightly turned to his left(our right) that would make it impossible since both his hands are already outside the holes on the wooden box.

Did anyone else notice that as he took his first sip from that wineglass, he was suddenly drinking from a coffee mug, and as he handed the mug to Ant it was a wineglass again? Was that intentional and part of the act even though nothing was said about it (if so, maybe it was something extra left for us to notice), or was it just an editing error? ( Though if this went live, this would be unlikely!) What do you think? It just seemed a little strange to me that this went without being noticed!
