@@TheCharlieSmithChannel You have to hear Vanessa sing it. There's a live video of Vanessa sing it in the 90's in a melody. Cleveland made the song in the 70's, and Vanessa covered it in the 80's and made it popular. Kalontae is doing Vanessa's version.

As a kid I listened to James Cleveland sing this song so often. I think I like the simplicity of the old school gospel singers. I like the runs, but often it's just unnecessary.
