Visit to the Bristol Harbour Railway and my first official visit.
Have heard a lot about the harbour from friends, finally managed to make a good few hours visiting the heritage harbour railway.
Peckett B2 ‘Henbury’ was the locomotive shunting about the harbour, which made this visit rather special as I also own the model of this beautiful locomotive that Hornby produced not too long ago.
Spent a good five hours wondering about the harbour linesiding from a safe distance, want to say a big thank you to Sam for letting me ride in the brakevan and the rest of the operations crew for being so kind and showing me around.
Definitely hope to return for another visit very soon. :)

It's so neat that Bristol's M Shed has a feature to allow uou to see the harbour from the view of a modified wagon. As a lover of the city of Bristol this small line ride heightened my love for the city even more.

From what I heard when talking to the volunteers, it’s hopefully being re-opened once the track has been relayed, which should be by next year if not before.

Thank you. That is interesting. Pity the bridge over the cut now out of railway use. Maybe one day consideration should be given to an extension to the SS Great Britain.
