    I Lived in Bristol from 1949 to 1986 - then I moved to Australia, and now I'm 75 ! But I've always loved Bristol - it's a bitty that I can never go back there ! ! !

    A few more cycling lanes and public transport links, a few less cars, and Bristol would be on par with many of the best in Europe for liveability.

    Nice parts shown in favourable weather. Go slightly further and you will see handcar washes, Turkish barbers, kebab/vape/mobile phone shops in abundance. It’s ok here but not like it used to be as it’s overcrowded (population goes up by thousands every year) and the council only cares about certain areas.

    Good question! Didn't know before today but just found out its called MV Balmoral, some good facts about it on Wikipedia here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Balmoral_(1949) hope that helps ☺

    The Balmoral was used in the film Stan and Ollie and the MShed was where they got off the boat (rhey had supposed to have landed in Ireland

    There is a reproduction of the Matthew which was Cabots boat when he discovered America. You can take trips on it. There is also a ferryboat company which goes to the other end of the harbour and also to Temple Meads station.
