Brisket Secrets Revealed | BBQ Royalty at Franklin Barbecue
Ойын-сауық
Aaron Franklin has sold out of brisket every day since its establishment in 2009. This entire trip to Austin only happened because Adi got us the nod to shoot at Franklin, and then Aaron was super cool to come hang out and chat all things BBQ. Shanky was sorely missed, and Sid was fed well.
Franklin Barbecue was named "the best BBQ in the country." by Bon Appetit. Aaron Franklin was awarded a James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: Southwest. He is the first chef who specializes in barbecue to be nominated, or receive, the award. In 2013, Franklin Barbecue was ranked first in Texas Monthly's "The 50 Best BBQ Joints"[23] and again featured on the list in 2017.
The restaurant appeared on Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations in September 2012. ] In July 2014, President Barack Obama visited the restaurant and bought lunch for those in line behind him. The restaurant is prominently featured in a scene from the 2014 Jon Favreau film Chef, with speaking cameos by owner Aaron Franklin and general manager Benji Jacob.

@@TheBigForkers Fair enough, Love your series so much! Please just don't stop!
This is amazing! It's a dream for me to visit Franklin's. To answer your question some of the best BBQ that I've had has been from Cravings by Chris, Smoke Culture by Steve and some decent stuff by Meat JJ.

Gourmand
the first BBQ was early 70s when peacecorp people were down from Minisotta the ice box of the world and we still follow the same small metal box with a hand blower to lite up once its lit up and hot you start three levels of the grilling plate its simple and when lots of people we make a pit in the ground and do it we are not professionals its a home
Had my first barbecue meat at Smoke &Co in Bangalore. That man so knew his meats and there smoked and barbecued to perfection. Like a true blooded dosa loving bangalorean, I like my beer with my meats. Occasionally a nice smoked single malt will be great too.

Shanky sir ❤
This is so fucking cool
me and the bois decided to try barbecuing chicken during new year's eve and we just bought like coal from a store. The weather was cold and the coals were too, so we literally spent a lot of time just trying to light up the coal so that it becomes hot and we could start the barbecue. It was a good time we drank beer and like 2hrs past midnight we saw the coal red hot and then we just started the barbecue.

Shanky missed out big time. His quick puns and sudden insights out of the blue are wonderful but I am sure he would have kept quite at Franklins. He keeps quite when he is really enjoying the food but with occasional look at Sid to stop talking!!😉😉

Aaron is hanging out with him and they keep him off camera. Why?! He wasn’t even properly introduced! Smh
@SidMewara

He wanted to be off camera in the beginning and then decided to get into it, so we just rolled
Honest Feedback - This approach is very boring. Even if it is a place you discovered early on, there's still something interesting you can do with it.

I have seen all your episodes more than once.. But the Seasons from india were so good. Not feeling so interesting to watch the American seasons.
