I am new to the stock market. Every stock that I bought so far, I was out of luck because I bought them when they were expensive. I feel I missed out on all the stock opportunities so far for the tech stocks.I believe having 175K yearly income would be a good investment so I want to plug all my savings into the stock market. I know this sounds a bit dull but I would like to know if I should learn investing or let somebody else (more capable like a FA) do it for me? Please share your thoughts. I am kind of tired of searching for a good stock to buy and losing all the good opportunities

Great to see Aspley getting some love! It’s a suburb that has everything. Awesome parklands, schools, so many shopping choices and close to motorways and hospitals. Quick correction though, am on the southern end of Aspley (walk to Westfield’s) and it is only 12km to the city.

If I had to commute between Cleveland and the city any more than twice a week, I'd top myself. I feel much the same way about anything on the other side of the bay - you feel like you've left Brisbane and landed in another town. For some people, that's the attraction but unless you can score a work-from-home gig, I'd think long and hard about those options. Jindalee is a no-brainer, even with the crazy morning peak hour, and if your numbers are accurate that seems like a good deal.

Think that on the bigger picture cleveland commute to the city isn't to bad in comparison to Melbourne, Sydney commuting and people moving interstate will find it unreal that you can be close to the water and commute to the city in under an hour. We just don't realise how good we have it compared to other major cities. In fact most major cities have mad commutes. London for example.. could take an hour or more to get from one side to the other..

  • @arthurwatts1680

@@davidmcclatchey2133 sure, but the very thing that is attracting so many southerners to SE QLD threatens to choke it to the point where it's just as bad as the other two cities. Back in the early 80s, a workmate moved to the NSW Central Coast and at the time it was still an escape from Sydney. Fast forward 40 years and many parts of the coast may as well be Blacktown with a sliver of the ocean through the kitchen window. That said, acreage on the fringes of Brissie still looks good from where I'm sitting - just don't get in the car before 10am ;)

@@arthurwatts1680 yip.. that's accurate enough.. but NSW central Coast was an hour and a half commute on the train if you worked in Sydney. I guess its just the disadvantage of having a city job.. a bit of rural living would suit me as well.. I would prefer tree views over sea views.

Interesting. Thanks for the vid. I wonder if Aspley and Bridgeman Downs aren't on the radar because the price is already quite high. Easton Hill is also more expensive than I think it should be.

I agree with your thoughts here. Eatons Hill does seem overpriced. Aspley and bridgeman Downs certainly aren't cheap but I think there's good buying there if you can get in below the median price
