Living on this planet at this point in time is like previewing a prequal to the Hunger Games.

Someone help me understand something, perhaps I missed it, but the guests claim that the “high watermark is behind us” seemed baselessly optimistic. Without any tools for accountability I’m not convinced there’s any good reason to believe they won’t act unfettered in the future, especially if a type like DeSantis gets in.

Better question: what power do the people have when their elected officials parrot the elite and do what's profitable for the elite? Even Democrats. The entire system we call "republic" is anti-democratic. It's merely just the next half-step away from feudalism, giving the masses the illusion of democracy while still maintaining it for the few at the top. "Republic" in the traditional sense is better described as "elective authoritarianism," "feudalism with elections," or "mob rule, where the mob is allowed to vote for who will rule the mob (from among a selection determined by the elite)." When people say things like "protect our democracy," they really unwittingly mean "protect the 'elective' part so that we can maintain the illusion of control."

@@Nutrollio I don't have an agenda other than fairness for the whole nation. Why is Thomas racking in million Dollar bribes. Why did the last Justice's lie to get on the court. Why did the Republican party have to cheat to get a supreme Court nomination. Get a clue. God well burn you to the ground.. I want to see all of them in front of St Peter.
