Painter here, Kia is by far the worst manufacturer at producing paint finish in the entire market. They do absolutely piss poor things at a factory level that leads to famous paint defects. One of my favorites was a Kia plant in Georgia where they needed to paint 1500 cars in a weekend, and the dipshit engineers forgot to empty the vats before they started dumping the new color in. Had mismatching panels on every single car they pumped out.
