Bringing Pets into Panama from the United States or Canada

Your fur babies are part of your family so you should bring them with you when you move to Panama.
Two families, one from the United States and one from Canada, talk about the process form getting their pets out of their country and into Panama the easy way!
You will need to make sure their vaccines are up to date a few months before you move to Panama and you will need to get an international health certificate for your pet from your veterinarian. All documents must be authenticated by the Panama Consulate in your country. Most airlines will not allow the documents to be more than 10 days old when you fly to Panama.
The process if very time-sensitive but OH SO worth it to have your pets with you in paradise.
We have step-by-step details about bringing pets into Panama in the Complete Panama Relocation Guide:
panamarelocationtours.com/guide
It also contains all the other information you need to know to have a smooth move to Panama for you and your pets.

For added context, my ticket from Winnipeg to PTY was $1100 business class, Gem's was $850. Yes you read that right. Her cabin bag was $75, her cargo crate $150.

But I am happy for you all in your life. It is a wonderful place in this Universe to live a healthy and good life. I also have a shih, Tzu ..

Thank you very much for this informative video!! It looks like times have changed. I vaguely can remember what seemed like a lengthy quarantine requirement back in the 80s when I moved to Panama (father was in the military). It seemed like it was either several weeks....or maybe a month?? It looks much easier now. Safe travels to all!

For us it cost close to $1,000 for her to fly on Copa from Miami straight to Panama City. When we arrived we had to be escorted to the hotel where we quarantined for 3 days due to the requirements at the time for Covid and the USA being high in cases at the time. Jackie's contact took her to the hotel for us for a fee.

Could you please clarify: does one go to the Panamanian consulate and Maria at the consulate authenticates the international pet health certificate, or does the external company mentioned authenticate it? Also, what role would Global Affairs Canada have in that process? Thank you in advance. 🙏

see more details and the form at panamarelocationtours.com/bringing-your-pets-to-panama Some airlines will not allow boxers. You need to start researching which airlines will allow transporting a boxer OR, you'll have to use a pet relocation company to get your dogs to Panama.
