I REMEMBER WHEN MY DAD TOOK DELIVERY OF TWO 4 WHEEL DRIVE ARTICULATED INTERNATIONAL TRACTORS WITH DUALS ON ALL FOUR TIRES. FULL CLIAMET CONTROLED CABS. WAS A HUGE DEAL FOR US. THE FOLLOWING YEAR FELT LIKE CHRISTMAS AS EVERY WEEK IT SEEMED A GINORMAS IMPLAMENT SHOWED UP. BIG DAY ON ANY FAMILY FARM. SPENT A WHOLE LOT OF MY LIFE IN THOSE BEASTS

Sharp Setup! Can’t wait for Spring to see it Running in The Field! We are getting close, especially everyone located in South Central IL. Gas will be getting put on soon! Those 21” Tracks must be fairly New, but a Good Comprise in Width between the 18” & 24” Sizes for Sidedressing Corn. I always thought the 18” were to Small for Flotation/Grain Cart Work and the 24” were to Wide for Rowcrop/Sidedressing. Also can’t wait to Hear The Farm History Story as well. Maybe a Video on Previous Tractor Models that The Iver’s Farm has had in The Past? Best of Luck to Everyone making Changes in Their Lives there at Ivers!

Yes they are new and we thought the same thing on the different widths. You’re in luck on the past equipment, we are going to try and work that in with the history or at least the majority of the former stuff
I really like Your KZread Channel. The cover crops will greatly help Your soil biology / health over time.
That’s a great looking outfit
That's crazy the extra money you spend We have a case IH24 roll 30" Use That For corn and beans being yelled 80 bushels to 85 You don't need 15" rows

Yeah, those are graat
We cover crop about 3/4 of our soybean fields. We can plant soybeans right into the standing rye most years . If we have a warm early spring then we might vertical till the tall rye ahead of the planter . Nice tractor and planter. You will like the rowtrac we have one and they are nice to plant sidress and spray with .we got our new to us db90 54 row 20 inch spacing hooked up to our challenger mt 865e in the shop . We basically had to add new row cleaners to it and grease it . Our other planter is a kinze 3800 it just came back from being rebuilt. We are getting closer to planting season. Keep up the good work and stay safe!

Have you ever had any problems with slugs in your cover cropped fields?
@anthonybanda8192
3 жыл бұрын
@@iversfarms never . We have had slugs get into beans that were planted into really wet ground that was previously flooded but not cover cropped. We had to till under 15 acres worth between 4 different fields last year we did replant we no problems . I have head about slugs in cover crops but we have been planting them for about 15 years . As long as you plant them early enough for them to grow decent and then you get cold enough for the ground to freeze slugs won't be an issue. We spread ours on with a floater we dont even till the seeds in . We mostly use rye but we have done tillage radishes after wheat . We tend to use cover crops on our hilly fields that normally have erosion.

Put a T in to where it's facing up, to let air in, you might even be able to put a small hand valve in there to adjust how much air you are getting.

@52komatsu While I do agree with the Fuel Idea, you can’t get a Car Dealer, Semi Truck, or Construction Equipment Dealer (New or Used) to Fill Items Purchased Full either! I think those Days are LONG GONE Sadly. But, Excellent Dealer Support can make up for the Lack of Fuel in that Tank when things Hit The Fan!
