exactly ;-) so we emulate Jesus and carry on His ministry bringing Daddy's will (salvation, wholeness, etc.) in our daily environments here on earth; work, school and the like. I don't get mixed up in names, they change every so many years, I just stick with the simplicity that is in Christ and carrying on His mission which He modeled for us to walk in...

basically one cannot be a servant or a disciple in the first century and not have your master or rabbi very specifically direct you... anyone can make their own plans, but if we're talking about doing the will of the Father, I'd say we'd have to know more than 'i'm saved' in order to fulfill His will.

Is your mind not important to God? Did not Jesus come to free us? Some things don't have a direct scripture verse, it is through understanding the scope of scripture we learn these things. I encourage studying the mind and spirit in the Bible.

I do apologize for any accusations, I was more leaning towards the need for further study... The Father sent Jesus to seek and save that which was lost, but He's not just savior, He's Lord (which under first century context you had to check with and get the okay from before you did anything)... He's shepherd, He takes the sheep where He knows they need to be to thrive, Hes my big brother, my king, etc...

+jennifer burnleu Except Johovah Witnesses can't heal the sick, cast out demons, speak in other tongues, have authority and dominion. This is why the religious church has beef with bethel. They live and are starting to walk in their true identity as children of God, and the people who get upset and convicted by them come against them because they're convicted by the fact that they live just like the world. The world can go to church, pray, put scripture verses on their refrigerators, ect. The world can't have relationship and intimacy with God and walk in the supernatural power of God.

But people are not using their discernment these days. Are you aware that Bethel is getting its "supernatural powers' from new age occultism? One of their own encourages followers to "explore the truths of the New Age" saying that "they stole our stuff, and we need to take it back" That is a lie straight from the hell! Okay yes I see exactly what you are saying and you're right on the discernment and armor of God thing! I've pretty much heard all that there is to hear about Bethel and Bill also. I am heavily involved and have been engulfed in Bethel worship, teaching and overall culture for a good amount of time. Bethel absolutely does not get it's "power" from the demonic realm that has to do with new age, it is from Holy Spirit. And I can guarantee no leader of Bethel ever said that. And if they did you probably found it off of a little sound clip someone took out of a message and the context got twisted because people are fear minded and devil focus. If you see someone from bethel go into a trance, pull out healing crystals and start talking about potions and chakras and "healing" the sick...thats the devil my friend hahah. If it was the devil giving them this power, then he is a kingdom divided against himself completely. Please think with me. If you pray using the name of Jesus Christ and his extravagant LOVE, and someone gets radically healed and gets out of a wheel chair...that person was healed by Jesus, not the devil. The outpouring of the spirit at bethel church has impacted probably millions of people worldwide. Incredible prophetic worship,thousands of missionaries, including heidi baker who has so much favor with the government in Mozambique that they literally gave her full access to the country and land. Her ministry alone has lead over a million people to christ. Please think, lol the devil does not do that. If you pray for someone and say Jesus is about to heal you, he loves you and died and rose for you, and they get healed because of the devil (which is extremely unscriptural, and the pharisees said that to jesus, and many people say that to supernatural cultures because they are convicted that they live like mere humans and just have good service and religious confessions)...the devil just lead someone to God!!!! He is not that stupid. But when it comes to that book, I don't know what to say because I've never read it, and to many believers that is probably a big nono because of the terminology and words that the new agers use. I see your point on that. Jesus never taught on the healing power of shadows, but peter was doing it. Think about it, thats super weird and would get thrown into that new age category for sure haha. Jesus NEVER taught on the anointed handkerchief saturated in sweat from a man filled with God. But paul was doing it. Thats super freaking strange as well. There is a side of adventure and freedom to explore in the kingdom as long as you're secure in your identity and have relationship with God (not just scripture memorization). John said that if everything jesus did would have been documented, overbook on the entire planet at that time couldn't even contain it all! What do we have? A new testament about an inch thick. Its all true, perfect, and essential to understand, but there is more to see! "Greater works will you do...." "If you say you believe in Jesus, you should walk just as he walked" (uh oh!) When you look at the outpouring of the spirit in Acts, what was the immediate fruit??? The church people thought they were crazy and drunk, others were confused and weirded out, and other recognized what was happening. The church people who thought they knew it all because they had their theology and scripture memorization accused the person who wrote the book as being demon possessed and eventually killed him. Some bible stuff: Jesus spit in peoples eyes, donkeys talked, people wrestling with angels, talking bushes, a man of God turning his staff into a SNAKE (Dang that has to be new age. snakes are demonic. God would never do that!) and much more! The kingdom is incredible, and there's things we don't understand and do, but God wants to do more through us! Any way thats my opinion. Love you :)

U left out verse 32 as referring to the time frame WHEN those things would happen...as Jesus was VERY specific saying this generation will certainly not pass until ALL these things have happened. Those things DID take place according to Josephus Flavius & Eusebius between 60-70AD when Jerusalem was destroyed. Plz listen to Dr Lynn Hiles & Dr John Noe on this as they do an EXCELLENT exposition on this subject.

Perhaps Jesus emptied Himself so that we could become superheroes. Oh, wait... that sounds like what itchy ears are eager to hear.

Yes we are under the authority of Jesus but we are to do the works that He did and greater works. 2d, Bill does not take the prayer out of context. We are to pray thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. That is what is meant by bringing heaven to earth. IT is done OUT OF our relation with Christ out of the river of God HE has placed in me

Bill's Johnson doctrine is totally structured on Hi's misunderstanding of this verse Luke11:2. It is not saying to bring heaven to earth but God's will be done on earth as it is done in heaven.You have no clue what the reality of heaven is. Bill's Johnson obsession with heaven on earth blinds him to the truth of God's Word. Our assignment is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that's what God's will for earth and for us is. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

I speak biblical Greek, and so I can understand the original syntax of Luke 11:2. What Bill is teaching here is a clear misinterpretation (at best), and at worst a twisting of the scripture for his own purposes (at worst). The part of the text that he loves to manipulate is “ ...γενηθήτω τὸ θέλημά σου ὡς ἐν οὐρανῳ καὶ ἐπὶ τὴς γὴς” which translated into modern English (without losing the meaning and context of the original): Your will come to pass, and in the way it comes to pass in heaven, let it be the same way on earth. To be even more succinct: He is simply saying this to His Father: “Dad, you know how in heaven, you always accomplish what you want to? Well I was wondering if you could make it the same on Earth, when we kick start this whole church - i.e. Just make sure that You accomplish what you want to accomplish on earth. I know that You’ve done that anyway for the last 4000 years, but I’m just saying it out loud so these guys can copy my heart behind prayer to You, when I’m gone - and I really want to make sure that they don’t ask for other things, that they’re bound to start doing before my tomb is even cold”.

God's will being done on the Earth is not the same as "bringing Heaven to Earth". That is called Bible twisting.

Seth, You obviously by your comment did not really listen to what Pastor Bill said. His whole premise was for us to get into relationship with Jesus (see 18:25-19:00) so that true transformation of our lives and the culture can happen. Bringing heaven to earth it is the command of Scripture to teach all nations to observe all that Jesus has commanded. His will is the culture of heaven. Thus, when we pray and bring the will of God into a situation here on earth, we ARE bringing heaven to earth.

Johnson overflows with opinion. He claims Jesus gave up (and then regained) His divinity, and states it like its common knowledge. No scriptural proof to back up this horrific opinion.

Yes the earth will be destroyed first and THEN Jesus will establish his Millennium Kingdom. But they believe much of Matt. 24 (the Great Tribulation) was fulfilled in 70 A.D. They don't even believe in a literal anti-christ coming. Bill Johnson teaches that "anti-christ" really means "anti-anointing", thus, those who would come against their (false/counterfeit) anointing walk in the spirit of anti-christ. This belief of rebuilding the world is straight from the teachings of Jewish mysticism, Kabbalah, called Tikkun Olam or, Tikkun Ha-Olam. ("repair of the world"). Its the New World Order Agenda. Pope Francis is busily gathering religions (as well as apostate Christianity) together into a One World Religion. The ecumenical movement is quickly gaining steam. Everyone will buy into this coming of a Golden Age of peace and prosperity. But the Bible says in 1 Thess. 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. Those in these signs and Wonders Movements have been duped into following an Angel of Light, the Spirit of the Anti-Christ already in the world. They do not know the Jesus of the Bible.

Yes, but we are to "test the spirits" (our revelation) with the word to see if they are from God. Careful with revelation, Joseph Smith began Mormonism through his "personal revelation" he claimed was divine. "The Gospel is the power of God for salvation." Christ was the embodiment of the word. To know Christ begins with knowing his word. This teaching is not in alignment with the word of truth.

We need to hear the Rhema word and not just focus on the Logos. I think you should be more open to receive revelation and stop trying to read the bible with your mind only. It is so much deeper. Paul encourage the church in Eph 1 that they should prayer God for revelation and wisdom so we may know the hope of His calling, riches of our inheritance and the greatness of His power. This is only the start of a revelation that Bill Johnson has tapped into. Theres so more!

Where in the bible does it say, we are to bring heaven on earth? Whatch out for false prophets...... read and stick to bible only teachings

jesusistheonly1way Heaven is a place where God's spirit is everywhere. Sense heaven is God's realm. So if we have God's spirit in us, then wouldn't heaven come to earth when we express his spirit into the world? Think.

If every Christian left there every day jobs to go to the mission field there would be nobody to minister to every day people in society.

Marshy, God COMMANDED us through Paul to expose false teaching. He didn't say to sugar coat everyone all the time. False teaching is dangerous. Yes, we are to pray for him, but StillChristian is right. His teaching is tripe.

Ask the Holy Spirit to open your heart. Quit trying to understand with your mind. Also speak to the spirit of religion in your life and cast it out. Its blinding you.

If you don't believe this, you are not a Christian and don't even know what the gospels are about, and that is really the end of the discussion. Instead you are a practitioner of otherworldly pagan traditions that crept into the catholic Church and as a result many Protestant churches. it is the prototype of eastern faiths, that salvation lies in an escape from this world into a Nirvana. The focus of the New Testament is not an escape, it is the second coming; it is conquest.

+Nathan Brice Stop fighting it bro. I used to be just like you. Let me guess, you listen to john macarthur, john piper, paul washer, and those guys?? They're amazing men of God and I'm happy I get to spend eternity with them, but they are extremely deceived when it comes to certain things, mostly to just what they've been taught. The gospel is a gospel of love and POWER. Don't be offended because you're convicted you live just like the world. The world can read your theology books, go to church, try not to sin, etc. Jesus is perfect theology. He healed the sick, casted out demons, worked in the supernatural, then told us to do the same and follow him. You're knowledge has become your God. Youre deceived. Mark 16:17 "These signs will follow those that believe...they will cast out demons, heal the sick, etc.." Are you a believer? Or just a theology/knowledge filled bookworm with head knowledge? Do you know God, or just know about him? Bro let this stuff convict you, this thing is so real, and I had to get humbled and accept the fact that I've been deceived and lied to by many mainstream and local teachings. The supernatural is normal for a believer, but many don't believe that because they're hurt or offended or convicted that they live so natural and very similar to the world, but they atlas have a confession. Love you brother.

No I do not read any of the authors you mentioned. Bill Johnson's words are not from God and they do not convict me. Bill Johnson says many correct and biblical things; it's the very few and microscopic things he says that make him a false teacher, that make him poisonous. He teachings falsely concerning the deity of Jesus Christ on the earth by saying that Jesus set aside His divinity in order display "perfect theology". Jesus isn't perfect theology. Jesus IS theology. The idea that Jesus set aside His divinity goes against Scripture. John 1 tells us that Jesus is the Word of God, who is God and became flesh. Matthew 1 confirms the prophecy of Isaiah 7 that He would be God with us. Jesus never set aside His divinity when He came to the earth. Think about it: if He did, wouldn't His eternal Godhood be in question? So everything Bill Johnson teaches about power and signs and wonders, and practically everything he teaches is undone and moot because he is wrong about who Jesus is. As a result Bill Johnson teaches a different Jesus. I myself am a born again Christian according to John 3.

I see you're concerns and I don't want to argue with you, but you are fighting a paradox by sticking to one side of a coin thats two sided. Jesus is God, he isn't a created being, He always was and always is and is to come. He was both God and Man on the earth. Read hebrews, it talks about it. Jesus is God but he walked on earth and lived as a man in right relationship with God because he had to fulfill mans end of the covenant as a MAN, but he was still God. Its all in the scripture bro, i was blind to it my whole life, but once I finally saw this truth, Healings and walking in the supernatural (Which the Word says are for "believers") and most importantly, freedom from Sin! God can't be tempted, yet jesus was tempted at all points. If jesus didn't lay aside his divinity, then the word wouldn't say that God anointed him with power to do good ect. ect. God wouldn't have needed to be anointed. He modeled the life we are created to live. Its all over the word man, but our perspective is whats making us blind. It says jesus made himself lower than the angels in hebrews i believe also. Its all over the place. Okay I'm done debating, its not worth my time, Holy spirit is the teacher. We are both saved and love the lord and we will spend eternity together. Bless you brother

Bill Johnson interjects his own conclusions rather than allowing the scriptures to speak. Then gets himself into trouble for saying what's not there...although he starts out seemingly to understand the verses. For this I'm not a fan. I have too much respect for God's Word! The Word of God...The Living Word, that was from the beginning, Is God and became flesh. We'll have more reverence for The Word when we get hold that it is way more than our Holy Bible!!! Hence cover to cover, it's about Jesus, who, Himself, taught us how it should be studied and expounded (see Emmaus Road). This kind of teaching, preaching alone reveals Jesus when we yield, allowing The Holy Spirit to guide us to all Truth if we study and test the scriptures for ourselves. Then as His glory is shown and we receive Grace upon Grace, the love of The Father demonstrated, transformation happens (the work of the Holy Spirit) as our minds are renewed. That's Fruit that reflects Christ in us for all to see!!! Real Salvation will always produce a changed life that then qualifies one as a Witness! Jesus' ministry on earth was accomplished in submission to The Father's Word and His Will (John). As I hunger and thirst daily, I know if indeed we want also to see God's Will done in us we must live totally dependent on God through His Spirit as Jesus did! "As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" Rom 8:14. For these reasons, I praise God for Joseph Prince's ministry!! And thus speak as that witness, with experiential knowledge of God, now entering into that deeper intimacy with Jesus, the lover of my soul...my bridegroom! 😍 My burden only to see souls saved and 'Christians' set free...to live for Him with sin no more dominating them. I'd pray Come LORD Jesus, but glad He tarries....too much work to be done!
