They paid Klay $84 million while he was injured doing rehab. Klay should take the $20m and call it even. This way he can retire a Warrior.

Might have to be sub 20 for the warriors to consider it. They paying a lot of guys rn. At this point your keeping dray over Klay, cutting cp3 because it’s a non guaranteed contract so you can free up 30mil that way, then still have to find a way to get off all of Wiggins money, and at that point your probably still over the cap, but you have klays bird rights. Warriors new GM said they’re going to budget their team, and won’t settle for mediocrity with curry on the roster. They don’t want to be in the luxury tax for as long as they already have been for so long. This team is probably one of the most expensive out of pocket teams. To explain how bad the warriors situation actually is, there’s only 8 teams that had a luxury tax bill in 23-24, the least expensive tax bill was the lakers at 7 million. The 5th most expensive team is the bucks with a bill of 52 million. The 2nd most expensive team is the clippers at 142 million… and the warriors are the most expensive with a bill at 177 million.

Klay is a great shooter even as of now look at his efficiency and his numbers statistically klay is better shooter than majority of the players who signed a maximum contract this season klay is even 4th in three pointers made this season averaging 20 points per game so tell me why warriors should let go klay to the fact that he is still putting up those numbers. Warriors should atleast invest in interior and inside scoring by signing a bigman and let looney go

they made good adjustment for Klay in the second half of the season coming off the bench. Then Kerr decide to put him back as starter again and when you see Klay taking dumb shots first quarter you know he got hotheaded again and it's over. Kerr is just not a good coach when he doesn't have a stacked roster. 2022 is the only year that I really felt the Championship is "earned", and even then they had Mike Brown as defensive coach. I liked their 2015 run too, but the championship match was riddled with injury. During 2016, I believe they had the longest winning streak with Luke Walton acting as the coach while Kerr was absent? In 2017 and 2018 they had KD. There are not that many example where I can think Kerr had good coaching. I think Klay still can play, but only if he can get over his ego and not take bad shots that he is able to make when he was in his prime before the injury, but not anymore. And I definitely don't think they'll win again with their current/past style when 1. the league has evolved to bigger roster being just as fast but taller so you have no advantage and 2. their current roster is older and slower.

Bring the whole team back, ***if you can***, it took all year to develop Chemistry. You blow it up, you have to start over. You keep everyone or majority, you have a team with having played together for a year under their belts. That will only help you next season. I would maybe move Kevon Looney to the 4 since he's not a traditional big, and sign Dwight Howard for the veteran minimum and have a Center Combo of him and TDJ on the glasses and use Looney as 5 whenever they're not on the floor back at 5. That way You have DH, TDJ, Looney (at the 4 and sometimes 5) then you have Dray, Usman, GP2, Dario, Wings, Moody and Kuminga for Defense. Steph, Podz, CP3 (off bench), Kay (off bench) and that other guard (don't know how to spell his name), that's a strong team. Then I would sign a Mike Brown'esc, Mark Jackson'esc defensive minded coach to aid Kerr next season. We haven't been the same since Mike Brown left, then we wind up losing to him in the play-in. Personally, this is just me, I think if it was a 7 game series, it would've been different. But it was just one game that the Kings took full advantage of... Good team, bad year, don't blow it up, otherwise you will have the same results next season trying develop Chemistry all over again. Just bring everyone back, then run it back. The Conference was tougher this year than other years... Gotta at least hang your hat on that
