Bringing A ROAD BIKE To A GRAVEL RACE? (The Rock Cobbler Breakdown)

Спорт

This was the first time racing the Rock Cobbler Gravel event in Bakersfield California. I breakdown my experience and talk through the course. I was on a road bike for this event, not really by choice, but I think it worked out well.

Great video! My ride that day ended at mile 17, so I didn’t get to see what I missed on the ride until your video which seems to capture everything well. I’m the guy in the most seen bull video, but I’m not the guy in the red helmet in this video, I’m the other one. Amazingly, the other guy is From my area & also from the Fresno Cycle Club, so apparently we’ve got 2 stupid club members. As he said where we ride we’re always riding past cattle, so like him, I didn’t think twice about it. Great video & thanks!

I don’t know cause I’m a novice gravel rider. I have a diverge with 38 panaracer sk tires and that is a lot of fun for me. I’m 70 and enjoy riding ever since I was a kid, I also broke my shoulder hitting a fence and Fallon off my bike on cement at night but am recovering slowly. My diverge is a cheaper bike and so it is freaking heavy like about 21 lbs. anyways great race and congratulations on your ride and placing. I’m sure it was a hell of a ride👍🤪😎
