Somehow I feel very relatable when watching this video lol To begin with, I learnt piano back when I was 4yo until I was around 11-12yo (my lesson was about 1 and 1/2 hour and I was a naughty student as well) but then I drop out because I was having different interest back then (tldr I try to become the mainstream guy). After 2 years later, I regret that decision alot and start practicing piano at home (still suck at it though...BUT I really wanna be able to play The Gensokyo the god loved one day). For the "trained ear", I absolutely relate since my god noticing a FLAC file and a 320kbps mp3 is already hard for me. For my music interest, I listen to video game music and Vocaloid a hell lot (more likely to be a weeb) - Back in childhood, I usually play video games like Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Pixel Gun 3D, etc and for music, my list back in the day were either EDMs from artist like Alan Walker and NCS to OSTs from different games. I also tried Vocaloid too due to my sister's interest back then with Vocaloid - When I was in middle school, the first two years were my "mainstream guy" arc and I wish it didn't exist, but then the next two years I start having interest on Touhou, Vocaloid, and Vtubers. At that time, I also have my first ever laptop and the first thing I did was downloading osu! (lol) and start rediscovering things I love again (I mostly play o!m). For vtubers, I mostly care about how entertaining they are as well as their OCs and cover songs (not having a specific oshi thou) and I mostly watch HoloCouncle and HoloGen2 but slowly leaving them as the pandemic stoped. I mostly play rhythm games too (like o!m, Phigros, Muse Dash, etc) as well as playing gacha games (i hate genshin i hate genshin i hate genshin) and in the late middle school days, I discovered idol games thanks to a friend (too bad he's in the working age now) and I really love playing D4DJ (I love the songs, the character, the anime, the gameplay and the best among all: Fukushima Noa) - Now, in high school, I admissioned a boarding school and it changed my life. I make two friends that have "similar" interest in music (one is a rock fan and the other is a artcore fan).I start widen my music list and discovered many songs that I can consider as "great" or even "excellent" (I usually rate things as "fine" or "okay"). For things I've familiarized, I dig deeper and knowing alot more about the community. I start playing (not much) and listening to Touhou music a hell lot, I listening and trying different Vocaloid albums, knowing alot more artist and appriciate their work (my favourite artist is the "Beethoven of Vocaloid": wowaka) and start participating really deep on D4DJ (at this point I'm just buying their merch and CDs constantly now send help). I also start learning composing and learning music theory now (it's hard) My favourite songs are Unknown Mother Goose, Native Faith and "What" are you? representing three franchise that I'm following rn For this audio hobby, it started at a day before my high school times start and I think: "Damn, I wanna have a brand new earphones, I don't wanna just use the speakers in my iPad" and then my journey begins as I search: "best budget earphones" and the first thing showed up is the goddam Moondrop Chu video by uncle Crinacle. I watched it and was interested in the hobby and as a result, I start rampaging on understanding and finding information as a nerdy curious "book"worm in their prime moment and bought the Tangzu Wan'er and the 7hz Zero. I love the Zero more than the Wan'er because it sound more lively and daily driving it in high school. The Wan'er sadly quickly out of my reach as one of my friends lost it, which makes the 7hz Zero my main IEM. I would say that this IEM is the best $20 IEM and I've even bring it to my trip in Japan (JP was great but also look depressing for some reason). It served really well and eventually I got a replacement, which is the Simgot EW200. The Simgot EW200 was a significant upgrade but my only concern with it is it's harsh treble. And now, I use the NiceHCK F1 Pro and I would say that it so good that I don't wanna turn back to the EW200 now (too bad that the filter suddenly broke and I have to return for warranty rn). I love the good amount of bass that doesn't affect the forward mids that much and the sparkly treble with wide soundstage helping instruments shining (It's a u-shape tuning in my eye and many people say that the F1 Pro tuning is almost the same as the S12 Pro) and a slight concern of mine with this IEM is there is no ventilation hole (might need to buy the Tangzu Sancai balance soon) I'm currently aiming to buy the Final E500 for the IEM and the eartip and the 7hz Sonus because I heard it was both better than the Zero Red and the Hexa but being underrated as well as trying different tuning Anyways that's all! Thanks for reading this 70 mile comment and hope you have a great day!

As a 4 year veteran in this hobby, I can say I made purchases i regret. most important lession I learned is that you would pick the most cheap and comfortable tws/iem to take outside with you instead of best sounding one.

Story essay time! Hope this story is entertaining to everyone reading, lol. So in my elementary school, we were all required to do a music assessment test before we went to the nearby middle school. I assumed I scored high because the middle school automatically added the school's band period the moment I entered 6th grade but I stopped going after a few months as it cut into my lunch period and I wanted to play Yu-Gi-Oh! with my friends. BUT, even before that, I used to listen to FM/AM radio 97.3, Z100, AM1560 (I think it was Disney?) and wrote lyrics down for all the songs I heard bit by bit because I couldn't write them all in one go. I even recorded some of the songs on cassette tapes. My parents also had VCR tapes of music that I listen to and my dad bought a CD player that I occasionally used for Backstreet Boys/N'Sync/Britney Spears albums. The first song I remembered first hearing and was obsessive about was "In The End" by Linkin Park to which I didn't record and I didn't even know who was playing it then; keep in mind I was like 6-7 years old and the internet wasn't as fascinating as it is today. I remember turning on the radio before going to school and after school on 1560 because that's where I heard it from, hoping one day it'll play again. And I don't remember how long I did this but I remembered it was a LONG time until I finally heard the song again and finished writing my broken child English lyrics. Fast forward to junior year of high school, I was introduced to Kpop by a girl and by this point, I had an iPod touch 2nd Gen influenced by my brother who had several iPods before I ever got one, and shitty $10 earbuds and open earphones from Sony that I listened to on my way and from school. I discovered Limewire back towards the latter half of middle school and all I had were songs I listened to on the radio and somehow figured out the name for by searching for the lyrics, which were pop and punk rock based. Kpop changed my music habits and from then on all I listened to was Kpop. I bought a Sennheiser headphone (looks like a 599 but this was before 2010s, I still have it) and a keyboard using money I saved hoping to make music because I was doing it on my mom's chocolate bar phone using preset sounds. Long story short, I failed at playing the piano having no history of playing one but many people heard me playing Girl's Generation on the subway. I then transitioned into EDM in college going back to using earbuds as I came to a self-realization how embarrassing I was using an open back headphone on the subway at volume 10/10 on my iPod play "gee gee gee gee baby baby baby". During high school or college, I forgot exactly when, I bought a pair of these sweet sweet AKGs that I used for years until it finally broke, and some Beyerdynamics, which I broke in a week because the wire got tugged hard by a door handle....I still have both of them! My first intro to IEMs was in 2016 when I supported a Massdrop campaign for the Campfire Nova because I wanted to treat myself for getting a corporate job, which I thought was the shit back then (it's not). During this time I also changed my music tastes into purely rock and metal/metalcore. I then supported Massdrop's own IEMs TWICE, after losing the first pair in a few months and then I lost the second pair without me realizing half a year later. Sometime in the later years of 2010s, I also bought the 6XXs. In the latter half of 2010, I also bought TWS from Jabra and Jaybird so I can listen to music at work. After realizing my Jaybirds were a poor man's choice and one of my Jabra earbuds stopped working, I bought myself a pair of Beats Powerbeat Pro as I started going to the gym to lose weight. Then COVID hit I stopped listening to music as much cause I like silence when I'm at home since there's no one loud distractions like when in the office but I did buy myself AirPods (1st and 2nd Gens) and the Sony WF1000xm4 in the meantime. It was very recently when I started looking into IEMs again after losing both my AirPods following drunk moments and my Sony's dying on me after 30 seconds of playing music and fell down the rabbit hole of watching a shit ton of IEM reviews and learning about frequency graphs and audiophile terms. In the past month, I bought myself the Moondrop Variations, the Moondrop River 2 Ti (my first ever dac OR amp), the Tangzu Wan'er, and I'm waiting for my Ziigaat Doscinco from Aliexpress at the moment. And that's pretty much it. Writing this out was fun and now everyone whose reading it knows a portion of my life.

That's a damn inspiring story and I know your pain, piano is a pain in the ass to learn (at least for me), because I really cannot sightread that thing and felt like my left hand was fighting with my right hand. Gave up in elementary school (after just 2 months of learning, I think lol)

@@catadegen Same lol, I do sort of regret not taking classes and trying harder back then. My mom asked me when I was still in pre-K if I wanted to take piano classes and I told her no so we never talked about it after that. 😂

Ath-msr7b (second gen msr7) is super underrated. Msr7 had so much coverage and hype but it's second iteration flew right under the radar. It's hands down best bang for buck closed back imo at its price

@catadegen you might could find one second hand for a decent price. I got mine for 100 in open box condition. They listened to it one time, didn't like the tuning and gave me a good deal on it
