It's crazy that this is the same band that wrote the songs like "Pray for Plagues" and "Braille (For Stevie Wonder's Eyes Only)." I love both their old and new stuff, from their first to newest album, but this band's evolution is one of the most drastic changes in any I've ever heard, in a good way too. That's my opinion, anyhow.

I like the experimentation they've done along their discography. I just hope this is as soft as they get. I've liked the new stuff but I'm hoping for a return to heavier music on their next release. I know they'll never match the heaviness of their first couple albums because of damage to the singer's vocal cords, but some songs like Alligator Blood would be nice, with the shout screamimg type vocals.

Here's a little story that'll make you hate humanity. My friend ran into Curtis Ward a few weeks ago and they had a little chat about his past with the band and how he feels about their current fanbase. Apparently Curtis once saw a girl in a BMTH shirt and said "hey, nice shirt" to which she replied "oh, are you a fan too?".

Oh it gets worse. Eventually Curtis explained who he actually was and she said she'd never even heard of Pray For Plagues or their first EP. The worst bit was - and I swear this is exactly what she said - "I have Suicide Season but only really listen to Blessed With A Curse". If I was Curtis I'd have booted her in the vag at that point.

It's like none of them actually know the artist at all. During his acceptance speech, when he was talking about he went through re hab he said he didn't want to scream anymore. They changed sound. 7 years ago I was going through a hard time and this song really helped. I recommended it to a friend who was also going through a similar situation. He did not connect with it and that was ok, no one however gives this bad ass song a downvote!
