Toxic relation ship, over thinking, bad estime of ourseflr. And yes anxiety, depression, suffering pain.

The most depressing stuff about this kind of music is that it reminds me of Chester. That being said, his wife said that before his final days it seemed like nothing was wrong at all. The only glimpse we saw into his mind was his music, and it was all deeply filled with negative emotions. I hope oli is ok

This song is the story of my life... I once read an article describing that this band, Bring Me the Horizon, is all about addressing the dark aspects of reality through music. I just got into their music this month. I wish I had sooner. I've loved almost every song I've heard from them. But this one in particular feels like they've just poured the years of mentally fighting and battling myself all into a single song. I almost want to cry tears of joy right now because for once it feels like somebody finally fucking gets it. Like someone finally understands what it's like to just fight oneself every single hour of the day, fighting one's own memories that try to hold them down with every turn. And it's so suffocating because the world just expects you to either wallow in that pain or push through it. But what I'd really want is a solution to deal with it...assuming one even exists.

ugh.. not every lyric from an artist has to be personal. Writers write for bands all the time, as well as other members of the band. Just because the lead singer is behind the voice, doesn't mean that person is actually talking about himself.

@@Vyngraven You're making a good point, but the lyrics have been very depressive and suicidal since Sempiternal. I'm sure some of them are personal to Oli. Like Chester's situation. Dark and depressive lyrics written and produced by several people, not just Chester. And nobody, even his wife, saw Chester's suicide coming. Which is why people are genuinely worried.

I have ADHD and I have never found a song that portrays the inside of my mind better than this one. (Rejection sensitive dysphoria, depression, anxiety, trying to please everyone, not being able to clear your thoughts)

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the actual video as well here? You can just feel the lyrics on screen getting more and more uncomfortable to read, heavier stuttering and slowly being covered up the further you get into the video. It fits so well with what this song is about, I can just feel the discomfort through and through. And what a beautifully fitting style as always..... Well done! Also the feels, this song is (to me) especially lyrically amazing!
