The YCDT SupaTarz are not only that, their also Miami Northwestern Sr.High school Golden Girls, Performance And Visual Arts (PAVAC) dancers amd also Young Contemporary Dance Theater members. They prepare not only for BringIt but also an annual upcoming show that we put on every year for that past 11yrs, Foot ball games, School productions, pep rallies, etc... Their being groomed for the next level to be professionals at their craft. So before you all make comments about them having all the time in the world, because the dolls battle every weeks. Do your homework! The work never stops here in Miami! Theses girls work just as hard, if not harder! They have been dancing 7 days a week since they have got in the arms of Mrs. Traci Young-Byron! Just a little enlightenment..

the best two groups in my opinion, these young ladies are awesome! keep up the great work!! you make your families proud!!

I ABSOLUTLEY LOVE THESE TWO TEAMS! They are both so good and you know you are going to get a good battle when these two come together. There is an ELITE SQUARE when it comes to dance teams, Dancing Dolls, YCDT Supastarz, Purple Diamonds, and Prancing Tigerettes. Those 4 teams are the ones to watch and you know you have to pull all your guns out for.

Just admit YCDT deserve this win. I personally believe this should've been a battle because they wasn't ready. Why battle a team as good as them & half step.

My two favorite teams 😆 YCDT are good at what they do and DD4L are good at what they do, it doesn't matter if they lose or not they are both great teams

You must admit... that was FUN to watch!!!!!!

Being that they are high school students why would any adult make comments on a child's weight? I'm pretty sure most of you that are commenting are our of shape and cannot do the things they do.

I love that so many people put the superstars over the dancing dolls because it just shows who doesn't have a true eye for synchronized dancing. The number one reason the dancing dolls are elite is because the majority of them have been dancing dolls and dancing together since they were little girls. So when they perform its as second nature as breathing walking and talking. You're a fool if you think the superstars are more on point with every stand than the dancing dolls. Most of these dancing dolls can out dance most groups in their sleep simply because they've been trained to master dancing doll techniques since they were babies. And as a result they're best at being dancing dolls. And dancing dolls are so good they force other teams to step up their game. The Dancing Dolls don't have to catch the superstars. The superstars have to get on the dancing dolls reality. Only a sophisticated judge would be able to see this. And we all know that sophistication is a refined technique and that's what the dolls are to most of y'all. Too sophisticated.

You calling us fools because we said the supastarz were more on point when it's the truth 😂 Anybody with a trained eye can see that the supastarz stands were more on point then any of the dolls stands this whole entire battle, did you not watch this battle clearly the dolls had no energy whatsoever and you think that they were more on point than the supastarz? 😕 YCDT knows every style of technique because their coach trains them and teaches it to them, i like the dolls but they definitely don't have better technique than YCDT & that's just straight facts it clearly shows. YCDT forced the dolls to step their game up hence every time when they battle YCDT dianna tries to come up with any & everything to try and beat this team she knows they're that good. Also the supastarz don't have to catch the dolls those girls dancing style is to the extreme they know every style of dance; they're clean, well put together, and they don't try to out dance each other if anything the dolls need to catch YCDT the supastarz don't need to get on the dancing dolls reality. Lastly all of the judges are sophisticated they know what great technique/dancing is, YCDT has it which is why YCDT beat the dolls 3 times so far & not saying that the dolls don't but don't try to discredit this team when their talent clearly shows those girls are professionals & if anyone is too sophisticated it's the supastarz not the dolls.

Gilene Salomon​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ the superstars may have been dancing since their were babies but what I was implying was most of the dolls have been dancing "together" under the dancing dolls since they were very young. It's well documented how most of the dolls usually start as baby dolls. So these girls are literally growing up together practicing the same techniques over and over together. The term is called muscle memory. The Superstars have that because they are talented but not to the degree the Dolls do simply for the reason the Dolls have been doing it for longer. Don't act like the superstars have been around competing and battling since the early 2000s because they haven't. They were formed as a competition team to battle the Dolls specifically. That's the highest compliment you can give any team when you're the sole reason for their existence. The Superstars are talented girls because they all aspire to succeed in dance and that's why they belong to the PAVAC program in their city. But don't act like Tracy is their only teacher and trainer because that's not true. Basically you have a bunch of girls who are talented but not necessarily gifted but who work hard to perfect their craft and because of this they have a show that puts a spotlight on everybody that practices majorette dancing ( the Dancing Dolls) and another group of girls who were gifted enough to be accepted into a performing arts program and trained by the best in many different fields of dance who saw an opportunity created by the dancing dolls and want to seize the moment (the superstars). Kudos to them too. But the superstars were and are talented dancers before and without Tracy. The same can't be said for many of the girls of the dancing dolls. Mrs D and her team are the sole reason many of these girls are good. The Dancing Dolls have forced the superstars and every other majorette team to step their game up and come with their best because they know they're on national tv competing. It's the Dolls who are facing challengers each and every week. All these teams doing everything they can to say they beat the dancing dolls. That lets you know who the standard is. When the superstars get their own show and some competition other than the Dolls then maybe they can be the gold bearer for majorette squads in this country. Right now theyre just a guest team that's featured every now and then and that's cool but the stars of this show. The celebrities. The ones who are booked to dance all over the country are the Dancing Dolls. All that other shyt is for the birds. And as far as the judges go I've seen the Dolls lose to many weak ass performances so these judges ain't on shyt. Especially when it comes to being on tv and creating drama. And folks kill me calling the superstars professional. You're professional when you get paid to practice your craft. It's the Dolls who are making ALL the money here to dance. They're the professionals lol.

YCDT does things that the dolls don't do or even learned how to master yet, also same way you said traci isn't the only teacher is the same thing that goes for dianna we all know dianna doesn't come up with all that choreography on her own this season proved it we all seen the two boys in the studio helping her. And how do you know the supastarz aren't gifted? same way you said the dolls make the supastarz and other teams step up their game is the same way the supastarz made the dolls step up their game the dolls aren't use to battling teams that is on the same level as them, and that's great that the dolls have their own show and are getting booked all over the country to perform that's good for them. Meanwhile, half of the entire YCDT team is getting scholarships and getting accepted into great colleges for dancing so it's a win for both teams! The judges can be weak at times when it comes to the dolls but when they choose YCDT over the dolls that's NEVER a weak decision because YCDT is an amazing team, and what's wrong with people calling YCDT professionals? they dance just like them, they know every style of dance, technique is on point, they're very clean & sharp, they don't try to out dance each other, they are well put together and organized so comparing them to professionals isn't a problem. Your logic is completely different from mines what does money have to do with someone being a professional? just because the dolls get paid doesn't mean anything, "Bring It" is not gonna be here forever it's gonna end one day. Money doesn't mean anything when it comes to dancing sweetheart YCDT & DD are both great teams just leave it at that!

I could care less how many techniques or styles of dance you think the superstars have mastered. If theyre so good why are they only on tv to build a name off the Dolls success? Competing against a team that according to many of their fans isn't in their league? The Dolls do things other teams don't do but yet they've lost to these teams. Just like the superstars have lost before to the Dolls. So with all this technique and ability they got that's supposed to be so much better they still lost to a team that according to you is weaker. The truth is the Dolls are better when it comes to dancing together. Just because the superstars are different doesn't mean better. I've seen the Dolls lose to weaker performances because of these judges so it's not hard for me to see that some of these judges can be fooled to think that the superstars are winning stands that they aren't. Everybody likes different right? Especially when it's as good as the superstars. Never said the superstars weren't gifted. I said they were in fact very gifted and the proof is that they all had been accepted into a performing arts program before they were ycdt. Learn to read boo boo lol. And learn what professional means before you keep throwing that term around. I gave you the definition but apparently facts aren't your forte. And money in this sense means VALUE. Something the Dolls have and Tracy and her squad are tryna get.

Idk why people are making excuses for DD. Overall, YCDT is better. I know you all say that DD's forte is "majorette", but to excel in something you need to have a strong foundation & ballet is the foundation of dance. Most of the girls want to make this a career, but they need to be trained in more than just one area. If they don't push themselves, they won't go very far.. Maybe once the show gets bigger, Dianna can expand the studio & hire instructors so that other classes can be taught. Otherwise, people will get tired of the same moves.

You don't have to be trained in ballet to do hip hop though. A lot of ppl that do majorette style dancing aren't trained in ballet. Some of the girls that are apart of DD go to performing arts schools. Everyone on this team has potential and anything that's flawed can be fixed. They are just kids....

Diamond Girl Ballet is the foundation of all dance, even Hip-Hop. I'm not saying they should take it everyday, but a few classes a week would work wonders; a performing arts school alone won't do it. Kids like Charlize Glass, Simrin Player & Jordyn Jones excel in Hip Hop b/c they're trained in other areas. DD are teenagers & can benefit from hearing this. Sugarcoating won't help & neither will excuses. The real improvement happens through hard work.. and I'm not seeing that.

No body is sugarcoating..... They can simply take jazz because Jazz relates more to majorette style of dancing than ballet... You do not need ballet for hip hop like that's the most ridiculous thing if I've ever heard it. I for one excelled at hiphop without the need of ballet. Ballet and HIPHOP don't even correlate as far as movements. Now mixing an array of styles together is something different that I live for..... Nonetheless dancing is a talent, if you have it you have it and if you don't you don't. Ballet and jazz corresponds. Like I think you need to go look up the history of hiphop because it isn't just one style dance. It's literally one genre of dance with some sub-genres with in its category.

It's no different than when a ballet dancer takes hip-hop; any competitive dancer would know that you need to have at least 2 years of ballet experience to *excel* in any other form of dance. *Anyone* can dance, take a few classes & you have a dancer. However, there's only a handful that actually go anywhere with it & that's b/c most are too stubborn to break from their comfort zones. Jazz? You do know that they'll need to learn ballet before they can even understand the terminology & execute the leaps correctly in Jazz... Right? Maybe you should take a few more dance classes before incorrectly defending DD. Majorette incorporates more than just hip-hop.

She don't have time for them to work out when they compete every week because they were on tour. At least they try their best. Not everybody is perfect. Some people get tired quickly and some people don't. Your not up there competing so please don't act like you wouldn't get tired by doing all those moves. No hate just stating my opinion.

lilhypnotique I think you are slightly confused between a gimmick and a prop. A gimmick is something use in place of whereas a prop is used to go along with. For instance, when Dolls were battling in the last battle against YCDT, they used the guy, the power car, the smoke, and the baby dolls in place of dancing. Whereas YCDT danced WITH bats, signs, shirts, tutu's and scarves. None of these things took away from their dancing, in fact it was used to add to the dancing. The signs would be the only thing considered "gimmicky" because it had no relevance to the performance, however it fell into the concept of their "boxing" theme.

Cannot a prop be a gimmick? Are those bats, scarves, and tu-tus used to attract attention and increase appeal? I go back to my first argument.

I say, the girls are tired. I feel like they need at lease a week to rest up. These girls practice every day and compete every week and I feel like their tired. Once they rest up, I believe they will do better. Sometimes we can only push our bodies to a certain point where we need rest. Remember, these girls go to school Monday -Friday and at the end of the day they still have homework. To me, that's a lot. With all that being said, I love the Dancing Dolls and Mrs. D. She keep it real and I can see the sincerity she have for her girls.

DatRiteDere Congrats to YCDT and their show. But remember, based on what the show is about, be careful what you ask for. The same level of attacks will be coming their way as with the dolls, flaws will be pointed out, why did or didn't Traci do this or that. Maybe it will focus more on their technical skills and not stand battles.

In all in fairness the Dancing Dolls compete every weekend. Ycdt practice every weekend which means they had more times to get their routine together. Although some of the Dancing Dolls are out of shape and Mrs.Diana should put new choreography together for them they are still one of the BEST TEAMS. THE DANCING DOLLS HAVE WON MANY COMPETITION'S AND WON MANY TROPHIES. JUST BECUZ THEY LOSE 1 OR 2 COMPETITION DOESN'T CHANGE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE AMAZING DANCERS. HEY TRUTH BE TOLD LIFE TIME IS FOLLOWING DANCING DOLL NOT YCDT AND IF IT WASN'T FOR THE DANCING DOLLS NO ONE WOULD EVEN KNOW ABOUT ANY OF THIS.... #REALTALK #TRUTHBETOLD #NODOUBT

Ebonnee Wilkins I have agree with you as well because the Dancing Dolls do this all the time and YCDT DON'T and like I said before NO ONE would even know about them if it wasn't for the Dancing Dolls. And that's the truth.

This battle could have went either way. Neither team was perfect. Both have strenghts and weaknesses.

I would watch a show with the Prancing Tigerettes who have put in the years and work before YCDT. They earned it.

Every dance, sports instructor should always make sure that their dancer, skater etc, are always in shape. Being in shape helps to keep them from getting injuries, get winded and get sloppy during their dance. Ms. D should always have them warm up adequately. They should also be able to complete their stands or creative dance several times without getting sloppy. Ha they will be winded, but it will be easier to recover from.

I think we could have done more then just that I mean it's good the style is good and its clean but it just needs to hit the floor hard like your mad at a person

Both teams were on ON POINT! Lines were clean and even. It was definitely refreshing to see the DD without all those packs of hair on their heads. All that hair takes away from those beautiful costumes. 😊

The dancing dolls held their own against the ycdt. Keep in mind that ycdt are dance educated and have a former Miami heat dancer as a coach. I also belive most of them are in college. While the dancing dolls run from 9 to 18 years old and most of them haven't had lyrical dance classes other than coach d's dance studio.

No doubt, dancing dolls got beat in this battle, but YCDT definitely needs to work on their girls not falling in their stunts , that's the second time that happened while they were battling dancing dolls
