I am so sorry about your brother. We just lost a son. My only consolation is that now he is in a place where Jesus Christ can work with him. He loved goodness but he didn't love himself. Everyone else loved him...

My son was killed in Afghanistan in 2007.I always think of him when I hear this song.Miss him every day.love you always darling boy.Mam.xxx

My wife an I always remember our son Alex when we hear this amazing song. Alex passed away when he was just fifteen and we knew then as we know now he was'n dead. He just went back home to our Heavenly Father. Some day we'll be reunited again because families are forever.

This was my prayer when my granddaughter had to undergo an 8 hour heart operation. Thanks to God and the medical team she came home... I cry every time I hear it. Beautiful rendition.

Whenever I hear this song, I think of my eldest son...we haven't spoken in years...he is still in my prayers.

I have to attend the funeral of a young man who died in a freak accident last Thursday and he leaves behind a wife and two young sons and a baby on the way. I'm old and battling cancer. I honestly wish I could exchange my life for his. I've lived a full life and experienced many things, he has sons who will never know how truly amazing their father was.

This is the best rendition of Bring Him Home by Alfie Boe. He gave his all here.

As great as this performance was, his performance of this song at the 25th anniversary concert of Les Miserables was MAGICAL. It also totally changed his life.

Thinking of 72-year-old Italian priest Don Giuseppe Berardelli, who died in March after giving up his ventilator to a younger person during the Corona Virus.

My father passed away on 5th February 2015 and this means song means so much to me. Love you Dad xxx

My son is home but he is not... praying he will return to his true self... to his real home in his heart. My love for you son is boundless and I will always pray you come home... to your real home.

When I would accompany my husband on the piano and he would sing this, it was all I could do to keep the tears from blurring my eyes as I read the sheet music. He's gone now and I miss his beautiful voice and hope that he's singing with Alife because this was one of his favorites.

I too lost a brother and a father back a few years due to a bad trip to San Carlos, Mexico. We received news that something had happened and I prayed that all would be well. As we continued searching for them and yet no peace for my mother and the family. During this time I was in a church meeting, searching in my soul for answers, just then a gentleman (I think his last name was Greer) sang this song. And it touched me to my soul and I couldn't hold back the tears. I wish I was with my brother and father - we did have some peace when the 2 "boys" accosted them finally spoke and we retrieved their bodies, almost 2 years to the day.. I can't bring them home, but this is very tender to me and reminds me of what my brother and father lost and our family. I only remember the last words I said to my brother, "Watch yourself." My mom has since passed and she is with her little one and with her eternal partner. I apologize, for my writing as my tears keep the screen a little blurry, what a beautiful song.

I saw him perform this live in 2012. His manager was sitting behind me. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. I had the honor of meeting Alfie. He is such an amazing and kind man. This is about as close as you get to hearing him live. Honestly a life changing experience.

To my late cousin who just passed away Christopher Teoh Pek Wai, he is young with a lovely wife & 3 small happily kids ...Gods love him more & take away from his wife and his family .....his suffer, pain and left behind a fond of memories - RIP brother!

My wee friend Maureen died age 89, and I cry when I hear "bring him home" cos I know she is home! I'll be there soon I'm 76.

The truly remarkable thing about Alfie's interpretation of this song, is that it moves the audience EVERY single time at every single performance. I was at one of his concerts...He sings every word from his pores...The man could sing his ABC's and we would be mesmerized. I was lucky enough to hear him a few years ago live... this song and Rank Stranger are my absolute favorites. If you haven't checked it out... he has a few goofy videos on KZread singing duets... He Ain't Heavy he's my brother is phenomenal... especially when you realize he is just sitting with his legs in front of him chilling out on the kitchen counter... and the power of his voice is incredible! BTW I am a music teacher with a Master of Music in Performance so it takes alot to impress me. What I respect the most is artists who share their shining light. Alfie does.

His voice soothes my heart. His expression of emotion is from heaven. May God bless him through his life! This has always been my prayer for my missionaries .

This is without question in my mind, the best version of this amazing song. How Alfie Boe can go from such a sweet whisper to strong vehemence is so incredible.

I told my children that this is the song I want for my funeral service. I want this recording recording for my services.

This was played at my Nans funeral. She loved this song, it's beautiful and makes me think of her every time I listen to it. Rest well Nan. We all miss you 09/04/2017

My husband had to be in Vietnam - and he said that when he heard this rendition of “The Prayer” that -that is exactly how he felt every time he had to take his men out to do “ops,” ... his only desire was to to bring back ALL of his men with as few casualties for the others as possible ... his desire was so blessed & so obvious that men from other platoons would offer their services because they could see just how devoted to the safety of his men he was ... & also how devoted to causing as few enemy casualties as possible ... in a war that didn’t really admit to many enemy casualties ... at the time. “He always brought his men back alive” ... those were their words !!! “Bring Him Home” always made him cry ... he felt the responsibility and the desire to lose no one ... no one on either side ... that’s what meant the most to his men ... “Bring Him Home” was always his daily prayer ... always ...

If you ever heard Michael Burgess sing this song, you would never doubt there is a God.

Over 2 years before appearing here singing this song, Boe played Jean Valjean in the 25th Anniversery Concert at the O2 Arena in London. His rendition of "Bring Him Home" still remains one of the best.

This is an incredible example of why we need our live theatre back! 2020 the year the lights went out on the marquis all over the world! So very sad!

No one can sing this beautiful song as well as Alfie Boe!!!! He OWNS this song as well as the remainder of his role in "Les Miserables!" I am firmly convinced that had they used this cast for the movie version, it would have won EVERY Oscar!!!

I was in the audience for this concert on Sunday morning. I cannot express how much Alfie's version speaks to my soul. I often come listen to this version when I am struggling. Breathtaking.

I think of it for all who have left this earth. Here in Belfast a 14 year old boy disappeared last Sunday in bizarre circumstances. His body was found today. I have been listening to this and thinking of little Noah Donohoe all day 💔💔💔💔🙏🏽xxx

They (the lost) all have one thing in common-their hardened hearts don’t realize they’re lost.

Wow. I mean, I'm absolutely in love with Colm Wilkinson's version, but this ... this is transcendent.

When i hear this, i thing of all our young men at war, waiting for the day when all the turmoil ends so we can bring them all home. May God keep them safe.

I saw him perform in the broadway play a few years ago. He was amazing!

When this full program aired on BYU TV for the first time I honestly just kind of had it playing in the background while I did dishes and other things. Then this performance came on. Next thing I know I am standing in my living room being brought to tears by what I believe has to be one of the most moving performances of all time.

On a scale of 1-10... 12!!!! ... GLORIOUS!!!

This song has a very personal meaning for me. In tears and thanking God for my son.

This song got me through a deployment and back home to family. Beautiful singing and instruments

Finally got my brothers ashes home and putting him to rest this weekend with my dad, this is our song for him. God bless you all who have lost a family member.

Alfie sings this 8 times a week currently on Broadway. But this performance is very,very special.

This rendition transcends this world.

I had the great fortune of seeing Alfie in Les Miz on Broadway. An experience I wil never forget.

Anybody who doesn't, like this, their taste is all in their mouth. Just beautiful.

I have listened to this version of Bring Him Home so many times I have lost count, and yet it almost brings me to tears every single time. The spiritual power that Alfie Boe instills into this prayer is truly breathtaking.

My favorite!!! Hands down the best Jean Val jean. His voice is just special

Nothing beats his 25th Anniversary stage version, but this wonderful to listen to.

Oh my God! I literally forgot to breathe for 5 minutes. This is the most wonderful thing I've ever heard. He did it with such passion, such exquisite taste. Mind blowing!

Now THIS is how it's sung. I had to come and hear it sung properly after yet another popular singer butchered this masterpiece. So incredibly, beautifully sung. Thank you.

I was driving about 14 yrs ago roughly and I was involved in a car accident when I was driving and my best mate died so this song means so so much to me, I wish he could come back to earth and I could die for him, I miss him so so much x

Perhaps you would know the difference between a falsetto and a true high tenor better than I. Or perhaps, knowing more than I, you know that, actually, there's no difference. If either one of these things is the case, I'll defer to you. However, if there IS a difference, I would say that Mr. Boe is a true high tenor. I have a decent falsetto. I can, for example, sing that part in "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" pretty well. Alas, however, otherwise, I was not blessed with a true tenor voice, nor was I blessed with a true bass voice: I was CURSED with a baritone voice! ;-D

He's a true high tenor. His range is up to at least c. He had to train to deliver the baritone parts.

Bring Him Home is a showstopper. I’m no match for Alfie, but I still recall a karaoke party we had in our club, sort of noisy, nobody paying a lot of attention to the performers…. I asked for the DJ to start Bring Him Home…. Three bars into it I had the crowd silenced, rapt, wondering who this old guy with the voice was…. It’s the song as much as the performer, as everyone is captured by the lyric…. But is was a real ego boost to hear applause when I finished.

I have heard so many people sing this and I just loved the way he sang this song

A beautiful tribute to those who served until the very end and then remained behind while others came home. I am so happy to still be here and hear this beautiful music.
