Your flat in Brighton looked lovely. Was there recently for the Brighton Festival as I love 1930s architecture and I went on the tour of that wonderful 1930s modernist block of flats, Embassy Court. My grandparents retired to Brighton in the 1960s so we'd go and visit a lot and in those days it was a retirement place where my great aunts spent the day sitting in their beach huts . There are now trendy bars where those beach huts used to be and the place is really buzzing!

Embassy Court is a whole saga in itself.! Keith Waterhouse lived there when I was down there.but the building was delapidated and seagulls nesting in it. Now look at it...stunning ..Its a dirty old town in every sense...which is why I love it x

After listening to you talk about Brighton on the radio for years and years I finally visited last year and it was amazing...so beautiful and so close to London

I love you and your mums conversations so fly on the wall stuff almost like eves dropping on the old party lines. Strange our lives collections end up in garages or even the local skip if unlucky. That was great to go back to BBC Radio Sussex/Surrey i love smaller local radio stations and ive been to a few in recent years. Jo Good - Middleagedminx Ten minutes is good, Jo. Remember that adage, keep them wanting more? And if you need to cram footage into that time frame you can time lapse, which can be done in the editing room; no need to fiddle with the functionality on the smartphone/camera. 👍

What a beautiful place to live. I can see why you loved it with the park out front,the sea plus the buzz of Brighton! Pah,the garage wasn't so bad but I loved your mum saying how she kept it immaculate,she's a diamond,Emma x (I knew they were flatforms,caught a glimpse in the walkabout bit in the park!)

OMG Jo , my Mum is just the same, her Garage is so tidy. There is one of my childrens scooters in there. Everytime I see her she asks if i still want it ! I keep telling her it will do my Grandson a turn :) Love listening to you x

That told you didn't it (haha). No wonder yours is so immaculate. Poor Mum. We haven't got a garage but increased sheds in the garden, not a good thing to do perhaps!!

great see you on youtube , Been listening to BBC radio Surrey and Sussex for many years and thanks to DAB, now got bbc radio surrey in the capital.

Your Mum is right ... get someone to come and clear out the garage ... you'll never use the old stuff again and easier to let go and free yourself of junk and make your Mum happy. Brighton ...what a lovely life you must have had ...such a charming city and the station looks so laid back and friendly.

I don't know if it's an age thing but my mother threw out my glass shelves in storage in my old bedroom. The room was never used. I left it in there too long,I suppose, but wish she'd have asked. It's strange though so many memories attached to worldly goods. I'd even forgotten some items ever existed. Interesting video thanks x

Well that was fab! How lovely to see your mum again too! She's so great..... love your interaction. Do you still have your Brighton flat Jo? My friends had a flat there, in Brunswick square, so beautiful! It was going to be their pension but then negative equity hit and they had to sell it. V. Sad they were. Jo, sell or throw out the stuff in the garage, your not using it anyway, and the marriage is long gone down the toilet anyway. You have to ask yourself, why it's so important to keep it. I found my mom was the same way in her old age. She cleaned out the basement and garage and threw out stuff, which I never realized till she died when I had to clean out the house to sell it. In the end I kind of appreciated the fact that I had less crap to throw out. :)

Jo no wonder your flat in Marylebone is so minimalistic, as all your stuff is in your Mums garage in Horsham. I can’t talk as all my stuff will have to be in storage on my return from Spain. How come you didn’t mention that you have interviewed Adam Henson? Is it because your Mum wouldn’t be impressed.

Just catching up with some of your older vlogs before I was a subsdriber, as like you I'm now addicted to KZread. It's so sad that the Management at BBC keeps cutting local radio but keeps the BBC Asian Network. Why? BBC World News and World Serice have predominately Asian presenters and subject matter now.
