As italian I would say to not worry, yes it was disappointing of course but Roma is in a surprising good form recently with De Rossi and they have a good squad. Also they have so more experience, they reached the final last season, Cristante and Spinazzola won Euro Cup with Italy in 2021, Dybala and Paredes the World Cup with Argentina last year and there are others like Lukaku, El Shaarawy or Pellegrini with a tons of matches in this type of competition. You just need time, same thing for De Zerbi who I appreciated a lot but is not enough complete right now in my opinion

Agree with most of what you say but I reckon Roberto de zerbia is one of the top coaches and given the right squad and players could go very far indeed. Just saying my opinion, I think he is the finished article right now. It was just a bad night really.

@@unita39hse I didn't want to be unfair to De Zerbi, I had the luck to watch a lot of games of some of his first teams (Foggia and Benevento) before he started having success with Sassuolo and he's always been a great coach with amazing ideas (and a great person). I just think that he still has to gain experience in this type of competition (before this season he had only one partecipation in Champions league group). De Rossi he's more unexperienced as coach but played a lot more of these matches as player (World Cup champion and Euro Cup finalist with Italy, Champions League semifinals with Roma) so probably does know better what to do in some particular moments. Anyway it's just a personal opinion and I remain a huge fan of his work, I really hope he'll stay in Brighton next season to improve your team

He was bold to play that way , looking at West Ham how they win the confederation cup they were solid defensively , Roma too solid and fast on the break ! Roma come along way , we are in the process of learning , to be honest in dreamland to be Europe and qualify as the premier league club so competitive. As a Roma supporter, I am convinced now more than ever that Brighton has a good future ahead. Many talented players, a good manager and amazing supporters. I guess this video is evidence of how true sportsmanship matter. Yesterday, the crowd cheered the team from the first minute till the end of the match. Unfortunately our lack of decent signings in the summer and hardly any money spent in January has completely hindered us this season, we have been very unlucky with injuries aswell. However pretty much since late September, we have been absolutely woeful, especially defensively! There have been a few games that we have turned up like spurs at home. But we have not been good enough at all, definitely zerbi is getting found out very quickly and we don't have any firepower without Pedro. If bloom doesn't put his hand into his pocket this summer, then we could be set for another mid table season next year and most likely lose de zerbi! Bloom needs to be careful because whilst we as a business are run the best in the UK, we don't want to end up like Southampton selling our best players and not buying ready made premier league players.

@@trevorsaunders580 injuries have been horrendous most definitely! They are a major reason we haven't had the greatest of results this season. But if we had spent more money on more recruitments in the summer our depth would of been extremely helpful. You have to look at the signings we have made, apart from Pedro none of them have been anywhere near the required standard for the premier league, hence why dahoud lasted 6 months. Baleba is nowhere near ready and cost £24 million. Milner has shown his frailties in games which is expected as he's pushing 40. Recruitment this season hasn't been good and that for me is one of the main reasons why our season especially since the new year has been pretty awful. You can see de zerbi is getting frustrated with it, we lost oscar Garcia back in the day because bloom wouldn't back him in the transfer market. We have got a lot of youngsters that are going to be brilliant, but now this summer we have to concentrate on getting in ready premier league players, otherwise we will never progress!

@@billynuttall8706 The problem with buying Premier league ready players is teams like Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, they will come sniffing around. I've already seen reports of bigger teams wanting Pedro, because of the goals he's scored. Unless Tony Bloom can come up with a way to keep our better players happy were stuffed. Our only other hope is the FFP stops them from buying our players, and the January transfer window was quiet.

First, being a Rome fan I want to congratulate you for your fairness and tell you that the 4-0 score lies. You have a very good team and in the first half we've passed just for two little mistakes of your defense, otherwise the game was in balance. There is no shame in losing a game like this, honestly if we take the single players one by one Rome is superior and I would not change anyone of my team with yours, but you have a wonderful setting on field and this make the difference. For what I saw Brighton is the best european team I've seen in the Olimpico in the last two years, way better than Feyenoord or Slavia Praha. Congratulations and see you next week

As a Brighton fan it was a shame that several of our match winning players were unavailable through injury or recently returned from injury and out of form; we were very far from being at our best. However, even at full strength it would have been difficult to match an excellent Roma team, but it would not have ended 4-0..!
