A guy said that anyone who would get a superpower should/become a super hero. I told instead of saving people they would do whatever they want and that is more in the faver of doing bad things. “…I want to do good Mom, I do…” That hits. When you’re young you want to do nothing but impress your parents and gain their approval. Me being adopted, I always tried hard to do good. It’s NOT easy with the kids and adults in this world.

This movie needs part two.

I like the fact that it's a clear take on Superman and what it would've been like if he were to turn evil as a kid instead of becoming a boyscout-ish character. I love it. I love it.

There’s a DC animated film called Justice League: Gods and Monsters where the son of Zod was sent to Earth, raised by immigrants and becomes that reality’s Superman. He’s still a hero though. Just a little more savage.

Literally my favorite horror movie

Alternate end credits scene: We see video footage of the downed plane, along with other disasters sparked by Brightburn. Slowly zoom out and pan left to David Maszouz and Sean Pertwee watching the chaos on a computer screen. SP: What d’ya think this means, Master B? DM: ... What it means, Alfred... is that we have work to do... Pan out from the back to reveal they’re watching the footage in a cave, then a flock of bats flys past the camera while cutting to black.

So kid gets superpowers ... decides to be a villain. Awesome! Finally something that makes sense.
