Francesca's story was so tragic but she handled everything so well. I hope they do justice to the depth of her character.

I loved Francesca's book. Its a tragic but hopeful one and she's a really strong character. I am excited to see what they do with it.

Hannah Dodd is a great recast. She’s a wonderful actress. I’m actually quite happy for the upgrade. I know Hannah Dodd can handle the drama of the Ton.

Francesca's story is my favourite; it's the one I read several times. I hope Netflix won't make us wait too long for her story.

I assume this is where she'll meet her husbands? lol. She meets them at the same time, right? But marries John first. I would love to see the story, but I know it has to wait for Ben's story and Eloise's. If Francesca is just getting to meet John and marry him with this story, we'll have to wait at least a year or more before Michael comes to the scene for real. That is, unless Shondaland gives us a two for one season next time.

@@violetembers2532, yes she meets John first, and Michael sees her for the first time on her wedding day. If I remember correctly, she reads about Eloise's marriage in a letter from her mother. She and Michael get married, but she doesn't tell her family until a couple of months later. So Francesca's marriage and Eloise's marriage happen within a few months of each other.

I'm most looking forward to the story about Benedict. I love the book about him and I'm very worried that they'll try to include a different orientation or seamstress in his case. with any other sibling, but Benedict + Sophie are my favorite couple

Francesca's book is hands down the best of the series! Ill be interested to see what they so with her season.

I hope that guy is not her suitor, he looks older than her eldest brother. When you realize what age she came out in it makes it even more icky.

Well "icky" is a modern term. Back then, there were no "icks" or "red flags" lol. Just people loving each other or doing it out of necessity.

i really liked Francesca's book. I'm excited how her story will turn out in the show.

She’s beautiful and has such a captivating aura in the show, she reminds me of a Disney princess.

I think they did a great job with the recasting. Frans story is my favorite! :)

I know last season, Anthony said his future wife would present his remaining sisters at court. But it seems Violet is the one who presents Francesca, and I would think that Hyacinth being her last child and the rough delivery, Violet would want you to present her as well.

OMG I love the deep dive into this season. I thought this will be the ultimate season, but now I'm hopeful Francesca will have a great season following this one.

So excited for her, and I look forward to see her more on screen

For some reason I like all so far lead siblings (Daphne, Anthony, Benedict, Eloise) expect for Colin 🤣

I only like Daphne and Anthony. Francesca is great now as well. I like Hyacinth, but she's still too young for too many scenes. Hoping Gregory will be good as well.

Francesca is my absolute favorite. So excited for her debut. Thank you!❤❤

She looks more like her 'sisters' than the previous F in my opinion. Each book has to set up for plausible future series, with book 3&4 traded, as too much of of a foggy C was costing fans. To be ready for E marriage (book 5), her guy must become a widow soon, so they can begin writing. For F to remarry in book 6, she needs 2 seasons to have time to marry and be widowed. It would be best, also, to at least meet Sophie's family to prepare for the masquerade ball in prep of season 4/book 3, as well. They do look like they are on their way with all of this. I far prefer the tension/plot/ conversations involved more than just sex scenes, so I am hoping those are even increased and the sex toned down.

May 16th can't get here fast enough!

I heard she was actually the only Impeccable in her season (the diamond equivalent in the series), and twice over when she enters the market again after her windowhood.

The new Francesca looks a lot like a younger Rebecca Ferguson! They should get her a love interest that looks like Tom Cruise, but he'd be a rich guy disguised as a poor guy. And Francesca's character would have to be a far more interesting character than one who wears pretty dresses and goes to tea.

That’s not how her story goes though. Her story is quite tragic. Though, I would say she ended up with someone who was hardened by life. He went to India and worked there after the death of her husband. She ended up with her husband’s younger brother.

Tom Cruise is old, short and ugly?

When I went through the "When He Was Wicked" audiobook ❤, only Aidan Turner came to mind for Michael Sterling.😊

Honestly im really interested in the fall out between eloise and penelope and how it could affect her and colin’s relationship. (I have yet to read the books so i dont know. Having my library put them on hold for me though 😅)

hanna is beyond BEAUTIFUL but is it just me who feels like she looks older than even daphne. its probably her height and mature facial features. not to mention the quiet introverted character she's portraying really adds to the flair of maturity. it might also be so cause we've barely seen her character the past 2 seasons and now she's suddenly in the spotlight so its jarring to adjust.

I don't think they would have Francesca marry in season 3 since season 3 is all about Colin and Penelope or at least it's supposed to be. I think they will probably have her flirt with a few gentlemen but not have her marry. To me it would just ruin what was built up for Colin and Penelope to begin with. Plus, Francesca has her own story to begin with therefore she should have her own season. Season 4 we already know is Benedict's time to shine so then if they continue with order of books (which I highly doubt they will considering if they did it would be Benedict's turn not Colin's but I disgress) then Eloise would come after Benedict with Francesca taking center stage right after. But at this rate... who truly knows. Anything can happen.

And the timeline is already messed up anyways considering that they aren't going by book to book, because if they were going by book to book then Benedict's story would be this season instead of Colin and Penelope.

@@chdalison The books literally go by order of year, meaning that Daphne is 1813 then Anthony in 1814 then after it's Benedict so no the timeline isn't completely workable.

Eloise’s season is going to have to come after Benedict’s season because of how connected they are and one of the vital plot points in her book involves one of Benedict’s kids being very ill. There’s rumours we’ll get the set up for Benedict’s season in the ball scene at some point in this season and then in Benedict’s season we’ll get Eloise’s set up. Eloise isn’t very active in the plot lines in Colin’s book that don’t involve lady whistledown but they’re changing the lady whistledown storyline because Eloise already knows it’s Penelope in the show but she didn’t in the book.

I'm also a bit curious to see Francesca's debut in society. And I agree maybe the Queen considers her a possible candidate as the Season's Diamond. She has a beautiful look about her and I'm certain she would gain quite a few dance partners & suitors in season 3 with the aid from her mother, her sister in-law Kate and her brother Anthony. This year I was hoping we might dive into Benedict's love story but its head in a different direction. But I'm not disappointed, yet!

My favorite bridgerton sibling would have be Eloise :)

The actor that played Benedict is so funny. His facial expressions had me howling. I hope he stays and see his story maybe with a man even.

you never know how a series will do, if it will even be picked up from the pilot and then if it will be cancelled like her new series apparently was. so it's all a gamble and a guess i think

I’m just a little off put by the casting because she is supposed to be younger than Daphne and Eloise but she has the appearance of looking significantly older than then at her debut to than they did. She lacks the childishness shown in the ew debutants in the first seasons

She looks way to old for the part,. Then I looked up Hannah Dodd and saw she is 28 years old.

It’s probably because her book isn’t focused on her coming out and first marriage - it takes place many years later, so they probably didn’t want someone who would still look like a 20 year old when her turn came. Better for her to look older now, when she’s not the focus, rather than too young when she’s in the spotlight.

It is not that uncommon for actors/actresses to play roles much younger than ther true ages. Most actors in teen/high school movies are 25+, and look nothing like a teen actually looks. Besides, I think with the future technology of AI in movies, they can easily make them look younger, even if they age during all those seasons.

Why would she be the diamond? Penelope should be the diamond. She has always been on the side lines while having the courage to voice her opinion as Ms, Whistledown. That’s Witt and courage. She needs to have the spot light on her and Collin. Francesca can be diamond next season. Total focus on Penelope and Collin.

I’m in love with Eloise’s character honestly due to her being witty and clever. And really intrigued with the way they’re gonna solve the conflict between her and Pen. Cause no matter how Eloise might be spoiled as some claim, if I were her, I’d NEVER forgave Pen and would do anything to BREAK their relationships with Colin, otherwise threatening to leave the family. Honestly, I don’t really like Pen because of her betrayal (Eloise might be a bad friend, but she never framed Pen). By the way, you all forget Pen being in charge of some of Daphne’s and Anthony’s problems, whom literally did nothing bad to her. Wish Pen will have a match with lord Debling and will fly away out Bridgerton family life.

They need to stop changing cast please. They should try and bring back season 1 characters. Its a world they all cant disappear for christsake. Develop stories for the duke of hastings and the vicant. Or let Eloise find love. Not everybody should marry a rich person.what about that young man from the book store. You see what mean. If every season is going to be predictably ending in marriage, old season characters should have juicy stories. This is why Game of thrones was so successful. We had so many story lines at the same time. Whitwalkers. Kings landing, Jon, the mother of dragons, bran, nights watch, the North ...etc common. ❤
