Also it’s accepting that 37 isn’t old. It’s great and opens doors for the misogyny within Hollywood giving actresses a shelf life of 30-35. Like moms to grown kids being played by 26 year olds is wild. For Nicola lifestyle choices and genetics play a role. She lives in a cloudy country Ireland and worked in lush skincare as a teen and knows the importance of taking care of her skin. Doesn’t do extreme diets which keeps your face youthful and she states her mom looks young for her age (genes) and honestly she looks closer to her real age depending on her role, it’s styling as well

Colin is looking at Pen like a snack with his mouth open..then he looks at her again...I feel like the 2nd time Is kinda on the sneak tip while he is about to take a sip of his lemonade, but he looks at her nonetheless.

I think she's always been this more mature and sexy woman, you can see it in season 1 in that final scene in the season. She's always been like this, but she wasn't allowed to show any of it off. It's not really a traditional glow up IMHO, because this was always been her. I think we will get to see Lady Whistledown out and about this season.

I love that the makeover is not the idea of changing of who she is, but really embracing her features, body and color palette that make up who penelope really is (rather than what her mother wants of her ) its so refreshing ❤️

The best makeovers are complementary to someone's skin tone, eye colour and body shape. So far, from what I see, the makeup and fashion team have done a good job with Pen.

Yeah 👍 And honestly it all seems inspired by that last scene from the first season when we find out she's Lady Whistledown. She's always been this person, she's not changing, she's just being more authentic to herself. 😊 This show is well made, and I am impressed tbh...

It actually made me a little emotional when they were talking about Pen's transformation. I'm so happy she's finally getting her moment in the sun. My favorite character! ❤

She’s the most beautiful woman in the cast. Simone is a goddess. You can make her wear any dress and she will be stunning. Her costumes from this season onward are the mirror of Kate’s true self (and Simone as well) because she’s a Viscountess now and I think Simone looks regal by wearing these dresses that enhance her beauty, as well as when she wears modern-day clothing.

I like that she slowly starts to change her wardrobe colors from shy yellow to confident blue and pale greens (they’re also Bridgerton colors so that empathizes and foreshadows Colin’s attraction to Penelope and Penelope wearing the Bridgerton family colors which are more fitting in with the family dynamics and with the slow development her character has) Also foreshadows the impact Pen will have with the rest of the ton (according to the trailer anyways)

So refreshing to see the gowns fit Penelope correctly and flatter her figure and bust now. The past two seasons, esp season 1, always fit her poorly in the chest and looked so uncomfortable. I know it was for a reason and for her character but I’m so glad that she can finally be comfortable! I’m sure it probably felt so good for Nicola!

Marketing and Costume departments: spared no expense this season!

Albion Finch’s reaction to Penelope’s look is so wholesome 🥺🥺 He’s so happy to see his sister-in-law looking great and FEELING great Also my lord, I knew from the trailer hand-kiss that Colin would be a bit more roguish this season, but that wink to the ladies was so very rakish HAHA, not a charming little boy anymore but a devilish man

Now this is what a makeover truly is feminine and fashionable, showing she is herself and beautiful always has been without changing much she just needed to step in the light to shine😍, not that cliche let's remove the glasses thing.

I can't even say how excited I am to see Nicola take the lead for Penelope this season! I have been counting down the days.

Maybe I am biased (because my girl Penelope is the reason I got into Bridgerton, and Polin ofc), but to my eyes, its the most visually stunning season yet. There is something so beautiful about the softened colors, and the characters look amazing!

No its not🙄. When it comes to body types, you cant change peoples sense of aesthetic and most folks are tired of woke nonsense that is just all about lying and pretending...its all forced and just fantasy here. Penelope looks like an upscaled chubby toddler and thats why this actress was chosen for this role. Her hair and dresses werent the main reason she was overlooked and you know it. We all do. Women love to lie about themselves and each other, but the man has to be ripped right? I never played this game. Most of the people who claim that shes suddenly "stunning" would not want to wake up tomorrow having her body. They would scream and cry but why? If shes so stunning, we would all be happy to have it dont we? NAH. Lets keep it real. Its mostly obese chicks who wanna see "diversity" to feel validated.

I’ve read countless romantic novels, and the transformation from a wallflower, shy and hidden on a corner to a butterfly, someone that gets the recognition that deserves, just the way Pen is portrayed here, is my best kind of novel. Oh, what I would give to be able to even try on one the fabulous Bridgerton gowns. I don't know who makes them but they are absolutely stunning! The details are incredible. Each one is a beautiful work of art. I can't imagine how long it must take to make them but you can tell a lot of love is put into each creation. The gowns are almost like a character in the show on their own.😍
