I love this season! The first to make me cry! I enjoy that its soft and not agressive, it's contemplative, sensitive approach to love. Btw, guys, Colin, until ep 6 was the one telling her he loved her. He only got to hear she loved him back on ep6, so he was the one actually telling more. I guess it's because we know about her feelings. I like that they took time to show Colin's hurt and didn't simply went on 'getting over' quickly. I like that they had to handle their own insecurities to properly love each other. The Featherington's plot also made me so happy. Thank you for your reaction!

I loved the season but I think we needed more Polin moments, especially at the end after the LW drama had been settled. I just wanted maybe a good make up session 🔥 and some romance to finish there season off. I know they are back for season four but I’m worried we won’t see enough of Pen & Colin to satisfy my Polin loving heart 😔

DID YOU JUST MICHAEL CRAWFORD ME, PHANTOM? Gah, you guys are the best.

The whole structure of S3 must be different, since the two lovers have not just met but have been close for years and years and years. And the main tension is not about them coming together but rather staying that way, while setting up all sorts of intertwining stories as well--nearly all along the lines of "becoming who you truly ARE." 10K pounds btw is about a million dollars in today's spending power. So, yeah. Penelope is rich. I should say, for those nay-sayers and complainers, it is absolutely transparent how truly and deeply Francesca loves her husband. That she feels something equally powerful for his cousin is the stuff of a good story. This how second half of S3 to me seems (to some extent) one of Colin desperately trying to prove himself worthy of Penn's love, trying to earn her love, in some sense certain (on some deep level) that he does not deserve it. That she absolutely does love him, that simply loving her is what she most needs and desires, is something he has to learn. And he does.

I've been waiting for this! Thank you Vanessa. You're so fun to watch.

I loved this season so much, maybe I'm being biased because polin has been my favorite since s1, but of course I would had prefered to have less story lines at the same time, for example the Mondrich's, it has nothing to do with anything at this point, maybe they are being set up to play a bigger part in the future idk, I feel they interrupted the main story that was the growing love between Pen and Colin. Nevertheless, I'll be rewatching as a whole some time in the future. Loved being a part in this journey with you ❤

In episode 3, we see Pen staring at Colin as he stares back and speaks of courage and being honest with yourself. She nods to herself and then turns her back on Colin and towards Lord Debling in a literal and symbolic effort to close the door on any hope of her and Colin. That moment was heartbreaking to me and I felt anger and sadness in equal measure. We also never got to see Penelope say yes, and I think it was a massive missed romantic opportunity. Colin’s professing that he will always stand up for her however lands so hollow for me now, since viewing episode 8 when he didn’t stand with his wife when she confessed that she was in fact Lady Whistledown. The writers did him dirty and made Colin into a coward! The writers had him standing in the crowd during Pen’s speech to the ton to see how it goes before he decides whether to have her back? If Pen were my wife I would have rushed to her side the minute the queen fingered her as Whistledown. If she turned to me and said, “I got this” and walked forward to the center by herself then I would have respected her wish and waited there. But if she gave me a nod to go with her or held my hand and it was clear she wanted me up there to stand behind or beside her, you bet your ass I would have. Instead he waits till TWO other people go talk to her first (Lady Danbury, then Pen’s mom) then decides that people are okay with it enough to talk to her…. REALLY? Pen literally says earlier in the episode that all she wishes is for him to stand by her side! He needed to stand next to her his wife, not to overshadow her, but to let her know that regardless of the repercussions he will be with her no matter the outcome, they will face it together. I love Polin and wish there was so much more of them. They have the least on screen time of the three main couples of each season, (SN 1-113 min, SN 2-89 min, SN 3-78 min), and a that of 16.1% of the total screen time from this season, The Duke and Daphne had 22%. Now, all of this needs to be taken with a grain of salt since I have to admit that in my eyes Nicola Coughlan is the most talented, intelligent, beautiful, and attractive woman on the show. Nicola & Luke need extended screen time together in season 4 to make up for this.

I enjoyed this season but I still feel that Penelope & Colin were cheated a bit. They both had such gorgeous makeovers for this and they felt totally sidelined for most of the season. I liked the side stories, but I would have rather had maybe 10 episodes then to develop everything properly. They deserved more spice. One kiss, one carriage diddle, one gentle & sweet deflowering, and then just a quick cutaway of them being all gentle again in the final episode. I'm sorry, my girl deserved to get her back blown out a couple times after the wedding, not Mr Pissypants sleeping on the couch. 🤬

What they didn't get in the show, they got in that massive press tour, which none of the other leads got and I doubt any other future leads will get either. The bond these 2 actors have, I don't see that with anybody else. So the makers or netflix kind of made up for it. Nobody else can sell the show the way Nicola and Luke did.

you're right - this season was missing quite a bit of Polin action. i mean what were they thinking bombarding us with Benedict threesomes but holding out on the actual couple of the season??? disappointing. especially since Nicola and Luke did such great work in portraying their love and the chemistry between the two of them! we were robbed.

I do love this season. It is my fave season but it wont hurt to give us more specially on the last episode a 3 mins make up session will not hurt you gave 35 secs.

The fans are not happy with the second half especially with the showrunner, People were not happy with Benedict, or with Fanny either... Polin were cheated out of their love story
