I love watching the jai-alai videos and appreciate you posting them. This is the only quality Bridgeport jai-alai video I've ever seen. Imagine all the great games that were played there with the best players of all time yet no videos of those games. I hope that someone has them and will eventually post some on youtube. I wonder if there were any videos of the tournaments played at Bridgeport jai-alai, perhaps they'll eventually get posted on youtube as well.

Especially that one season in very early 80's when Bolivar and Cachin were neck and neck for the player's title . That last month of the season there was some seriously fierce action in the later games. If memory serves, I believe Cachin edged out Bolivar. There was this one guy who often got close to the court and did the chicken dance with Bolivar between games. Great times there especially on Friday and Saturday nights when it was standing room only. Carmine the 3rd floor bartender was the best!

Pat Kowalczyk I was really hoping to see a vintage clip of some action, again nothing. You would think something somewhere would surface, hard to believe nothing was captured.

They were in fact captured. All the games were recorded by the division of special revenue but may have been tossed as were the Hartford frontons recordings as well. There are some bootlegged Hartford videos saved under my you-tube account which you can view. Also there are some Milford jai-alai videos on you-tube. I would like to think that someone has the tapes and simply has yet to post the B-port and others.

I'll have to contact my sources to see if there are any recordings of B-Port jai-alai. I worked at Hartford and the div. of special revenue had the recordings of every game played. Once in a great while they needed to be reviewed for patrons complaints or if betting irregularities were detected. One of my contacts was able to acquire Berenson's Hartford jai-alai / World jai-alai office files (pictures and memos) which I've posted on my jai-alai heaven facebook page and sold off the balls and jerseys on ebay over the years.The videos unfortunately were never saved. The ONLY videos of Hartford jai-alai on you-tube were taken from the founders of jai-alai Heaven and are all posted under my you-tube accounbt and that of another jai-alai heaven member.

I was a teenager when it opened in 1976 and we would go to the back parking lot after the last game and get the players autographs
