To tell the truth, I kinda dig the music. But that's probably because I'm a sucker for post-rock.
Better with out Music
Came for the bridge of death and was more blown away by the names, dates and sketches carved into the walls :o
Amazing that there is piped music in the mine.
It’s funny, I watch these spelunking videos and everyone’s having a grand adventure, but my Welsh coal mining grandfather died of black lung, and my father, put in the mines (what you did back then) at 15, escaped to emigrate to Canada at 18 to avoid the pits. (I realize this is a slate mine.) They even let my young Canadian mother take the shaft cage down for a “ride” on her honeymoon in the early 60’s. Mining was a huge part of Welsh culture. But let us not forget those that toiled to make these mines, many of whom since ancient times didn’t survive, lost limbs, were abused, or had shortened lives because of it.

Quite right. These places were deadly; one was called 'The Slaughterhouse'. Compensation to surviving family was often derisory and, in the end, it was a completely subsistence existence; few made any socio-economic progress from being miners or quarrymen, although their culture was as rich and sophisticated as any to be found - it's just that the English didn't want to know or accept that, as usual.
Great video . I would dearly love to be able to explore places like this . Just cannot do it too worn out these days . You can just imagine the guys working down these mines back in the day Thanks for sharing .
Very interesting video! Very good to see safety gear and helmets being used to explore the mine! This is how it should be done!! Many other mine explorers do not use safety gear (harnesses, ropes etc) and do not even use helmets!!?? This is just asking for a disaster to occur! EDIT: The exception to this video is for the bearded guy walking across the bridge without any seen protection (harness, rope etc) being used! VERY risky. Via Ferrata or similar equipment could have been used with a carabiner clipped on the wire hand rope. Also the same guy descending the rope without any seen protection again! As a minimum, some sort of descender or similar device to prevent falls in the event of him slipping!? Otherwise, a reasonable video!
That bridge just made me want to watch a Indianna Jones Movie!!
Idk why but now I’m interested into seeing old abandoned mines, especially when there is remains of trains and stuff
Cool video thanks for showing 😀
Description or explanation is really needed in these videos!

Mike Coker thanks for your feedback ! Is really appreciated ! 🙋🏻♂️🙏🏼
Love your videos, just a reminder always use the right hand rule when exploring mines, like that you will never get lost.
The timber on the underside of that bridge has a big fracture in it that I saw when we went in last year.
That bridge was glorious. I was surprised that I couldn’t find a photo of it on your Instagram (I may have missed it). Would love to photograph that. Would take a decent long exposure and some fancy torch work tho 👍
A wonderful new world to explore. A little bit of narration, especially regarding history, artifacts and geology would be more interesting
would have liked to have seen the graffitti more, it's words of long-dead men.
Wales, it even rains underground.
very cool well done lads could of been a longer vid though
Unbelievable guys great team work!
Also watch out for false floors, if the boards are rotted you will fall through break bones or possibly die.🤪
Music detracts !
Scrap music show artifacts and tell viewers what you doing all time etc
are those old mining ladders or ones put in by explorers....quite disconcerting when you see fallen props....
Great video very interesting as I live in Wales just wondering. what part of wales it is well done chaps

Would rather hear their conversations than the not needed music. Try that next time.

Music all the way through...why lol sounds shite and ruins vid
It must of been HELL working in those mines, very hard work and working conditions, the miners were paid very little money to make the English mine owners very Rich.

anyone else see the faces in the rocks? pause video at 1.:32
2:05 Are those megalithic stones placed by aliens on the right?
Looks like the rdr2 mine
Loose the muzak, it spoils the video
Jeezus! The completely unnecessary background/theme music is OPPRESSIVELY overwhelming! It's difficult to hear a WORD anyone is even saying with it DROWNING all the other sound out almost entirely! (Just a little constructive criticism, that's all. You should consider working on that. I may have even subscribed.) 👍
