She is the very proof that losing weight doesn’t mean you instantly love yourself and how you look. It took me a while to find the perfect dress but I’m so glad I haven’t had to change my shape to feel comfortable in it. I’ve found the dress that fits me and I’ve not made myself fit the dress. Such a shame people feel this way.

I found it hard too when I was shopping. I was so not happy in my body and I’m sure I tried on at least 30 gowns too. Thankfully I had a really helpful consultant who helped me feel beautiful.

Fat people, fat women especially, are being very much sold the idea that all your problems will go away if you just lose weight. It's worth remembering that someone is profiting off it, whether through diet pills or having to buy less fabric. There's not a magical weight or size where you'll love and be happy when you get there, you'll be happy when you are love yourself regardless of how your body changes or what it looks like.

Aurora Häkli Confidence is everything, and nobody should feel insecure about their shape or who they are. I love self acceptance as long as it’s not to the detriment of self-improvement. You can look and should feel beautiful no matter the weight, just know that in the long term, excess weight causes problems, if not now, but in a decade or two. At the end it’s one’s choice and the more power to them. It’s not about being judged, but about living a fulfilled life.

@@alcyonae Can we stop adding that to the end of sentences when talking about fat people not wanting to hate themselves? They know, they are already told that every time they visit a doctor to the point where even medical professionals won't look at other causes for their symptoms. Especially when us skinny people don't get that half as often, even though weight loss and undernourishment are often more deadly than the same changes to the other direction.

She really is too hard on herself. She didn't look ridiculous in any of those dresses!

noRebrand ?? What do you know about her to be assuming she “experiences” all those diseases?? Sure it’s a common thing that happens if you’re obese but she’s not obese, maybe she’s a bit overweight but definitely not obese lol and there’s a difference. Also, you can’t judge a person based on how they look, it depends on her BMI and her lifestyle. If she’s eating healthy and does exercises regularly, she’s considered healthy. And she’s on a journey trying to be healthier so geez no need to be so rude lol

Its hard to look at yourself after weight loss, because you see parts that needs "work" even more. I was a size 16(Canada) and I am now size 6, and in front of the mirror, many times, I still see size 16. Wishing for a more toned tummy and getting rid of the thick thighs. I feel her somehow, we are our worst critic.

All the people discussing that men prefer curvy over bony or anything..loving your body is about you not about men..I would love to be a perfect figure for myself not for what men prefer..for once ITS NOT ABOUT MEN

She pulls off a mermaid dress better than anyone I've seen. I usually don't like them. Also, she seems super sweet and chill.

it wasnt that she felt unhappy about her body in the second dress, it was that she felt pressured to like it and didnt know how to express it. she looked beautiful but she didnt feel confident and comfy and herself in that dress and she shouldnt have to compromise for the consultants. she made a confident choice of not choosing it and that was awesome.

The consultant was a little harsh to the bride which made her emotional but David was very warm and her friends were very supportive

The second dress was beautiful o n her 😍 Be confident girl you are beautiful 😘

yes, this first dress was great! the point is, she could not move in it... so it was not comfortable to wear for many hours... - this is important, too

This was an emotional episode. The bride is just so sweet and looks AMAZING and the entourage is just so nice.

She says she’s being fussy and not liking the dresses when she’s only tried like 2 on hahah it takes time and lots of tryings on!

I am also ashamed of my body (the only difference being that I'm really skinny and in my eyes it just disgusts me - not saying that skinny women aren't beutiful, but I just can't look at myself and go "wow, I feel confident in my own skin") and I can imagine how frustrating it is to be choosing the "perfect" dress for your big day. I would probably break down after two or three dresses as well... ^^"

It sucks that society has made us hate our own bodies. Try to not think of how you look, but what you do. Go out and DO things you'd never considered. DO fun things! LIVE!! As you'd never allowed yourself to.

Jana 101 It was uncomfortable, and just not for her. To be honest, it made her belly more prominent. The others accented her slimmer waist without showing that little belly-bulge, and they suited her personality more.

Her head is wrapped around what her fiancé wants, what he likes to see and nothing about what she wants and how she wants to look. I work with brides day in and day out and I think groom shouldn’t have a say what a bride should wear. Let the girl wear what she wants, you are marrying her no matter what!

I think she saw it, she even said she liked how it sucked her in. Some brides just don't like the restrictiveness of a fitted gown regardless of how they look. You have to be comfortable too! I love how that dress looks, but I wouldn't wear it on my day because its physically too tight around the thighs to be able to walk and move how I want to.

The first one seems to be too unconfortable for most of the people IMO. Is too tight around the knees, and force you to take very small steps. Perhaps another one with higher waist would be nice for her too (though I liked the choosen one) The one they choose with the v-neck was ridiculous on her
