After Brian had said "god only knows" is the hard one to sing without his brothers, george asks "GOD ONLY KNOWS REMINDS YOU OF CARL?" no it reminds him of Jamal Mashburn. "WHICH ONE REMINDS YOU OF DENNIS?" shut the fuck up and don't try to get him to cry.

His father can never hurt him anymore, His sell out concerts are proof of him being loved and appreciated all over the world. God bless you Brian. All the fans have never forgotten Carl and Dennis. P.S. I first heard the Beach boys on record while staying over at my childhood friends house in elementary school. Her sister was playing the record. I asked my friend as I was mesmerized by the songs, "Who is that singing' and she said "The Beach Boys"!!!. I was in love with that sound ever since.

@Adam The thing is, Brian is always open to answering questions, but you have to actually ask them. George clearly read up on that and decided to ask more questions instead.

+chippchipp1 i disagree. I think you're right, some of his questions are good, but he seems like he views Brian Wilson as a circus side show. He doesn't really seem to respect the person Wilson is or his work, he sort of makes a joke out it (probably because of jealousy, for not many people are actually considered "genius" as Brian Wilson is, certainly not George Stromboulopolulousolous or whatever the hell his name is).. He fakes that he does but i can see down deep he only cares about the story that he's getting. Brian Wilson is a great person, a great human being. His mental illness is real and is not a joke, and yes he truly was a genius who knew how to make some of the most beautiful music ever created.

As a musician and songwriter it’s so awesome to hear Brian (arguably the greatest songwriter of all time) talk about how he has dry spells where he doesn’t write any songs and he just has to wait until the inspiration comes. I know that feeling exactly, im sure its like that for any type of artist. If you really want to create something real from your soul that lasts you can’t force it you just have to wait. It can be scary though when you think it may never come back again, but it usually does at the most random times. Brian is a worldwide treasure.

maryjhanep Brian seems to have a lot of social quirks: he is really honest all the time, very fast in his conclusions and stories, and has a "wierd" sense of humor, but this George guy stuck with his guns all the way, was super serious all the way through, didn't feel the need to laugh att Brian's quirks or make a big deal about his minor wierdness. That's a sign of someone who doesn't put his ego first all the time! Inspiring, actually.

This interviewer was absolutely perfect for Brian. Most take things too slowly, and Brian loses his train of thought, but this interviewer was able to keep him on topic (for the most part). He probed just the right amount, too, and was really effective in the way he used leading questions. The fact the interview was like this from the first second shows that Mr. Stroumboulopoulos really did his homework / conducted a fantastic pre-interview. Major props. I didn't know it was possible to get Brian to be so coherent.

Great job here. Brian Wilson is not a real big fan of giving interviews, and it takes a committed interviewer to do this well; George came equipped with thorough knowledge, and telegraphed to Brian that he was going to stick with it. Brian realized that and opened up. Nice work, and may God forever bless his messenger, Brian Wilson.

I think he has benefited alot since the ban of Landy in the early 90's. He seems to be a much calmer person and doesn't seem to suffer from Tardive Dyskinesia as much as he did.
