Tbh all of these recent events kind of showed that stock in Devon is built on hype and hype alone. Kind of embarrassing for everyone who drank the kool-aid even some professionals included. Also devon himself. We are supposed to think he is 200 iq, but he thought he had a chance against Levan by basically only training wrist and pronation and neglecting everything else. Not exactly a 200 iq move if you ask me. That being said turning to individuals like shaw is definitely more of the right move but too little too late.

Anyone that believes that brian couldn't be knocking at the door of the top guys in under 3 years is delusional. Not only is he one of the strongest men on earth, he's on of the strongest men in history. The guy is 6'9 and comfortably walks around at 400lbs. Not to mention he also arguably has the strongest grip in the world on top of that. Even Derek Smith, a huge and very strong armwrestler, gripped up with brain for fun and said he felt absolutely insane, and brain had no clue what he was doing. A guy that big, that strong, and with levers that long. And Devon is taking him under his wing? Good luck holding on when he starts getting comfortable on the table

6 to 7 years to be a real arm wrestler meanwhile Brian is already in his 40s, and Levan is what 34? 35? Or something, and already at the top of his game. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of Brian Shaw, and in his world he's one of the greatest ever if not the greatest, but Levan is the best in the arm wrestling world. Not only that we've seen guys come from similar realms, and they were actually stronger than Brian shaw in some ways when is came to certain lifts like Eric spoto who benched 721, Leroy walker, another big time bencher, Larry wheels, another strength sport pro, and none of them are even top 30 or even top 40 even. Likely lower than that even.

With Devon's table IQ training Brian Shaw with his general IQ in sports and commitment and raw power by himself.. Levan fans should reconsider everything they know. Ever seen Brain Shaw real made? No people... when he does he scares people. To put things in perspective here. Levan 190 cm tall weight 178 kg. Brain Shaw 203 cm tall and about 190 kg... and with that comes overal muscle mass and strenght that's far greater then Levan who focusses more on the arm strenght. The back pressure along that Brian can provide should be scary. And with the focus on improving arm strenght and table IQ.... we have created ourselfs a new league of it's own.

It takes much more than being a giant strongman to beat Levan. It takes many years of specific training to develop the specifc connective tissue underneath all the wrist muscles, elbow, joints, fingers, etc. On top of that, you will need all the skill of arm wrestling, endurance for it, and tactics. You are dead wrong. If Brian was trained by Devon, and trained with the same intensity as WSM Levan would be in serious trouble within 2 years. World strongest men are not just weight lifters, they have functional strength and understand leverage and body mechanics better than most people. It would not take long for him to train those specific muscles to the levels of the best in the world. Weight lifters like Larry and Leonidas, are already doing well above average for their time in the sport and they are no where near the strength athlete of Brian. I don't think you understand the type of athlete a WSM 4 time champ is and how different they are when it comes to strength sports. There's a reason the top people in Arm wrestling wants to get one of these monsters into the sport, and it's certainly not to wait around 5 years for a "0%" chance of them beating Levan. They would only be interested in something that could pay off extremely fast. 5 years is a long time and a lot can happen in five years to Levan.

He's only the first one of this category and since armwrestling is still growing in popularity, there're not many people like him. If more ''strongmen'' type of people gets into the sport we might get a new weightclass cause they will outclass everyone under 350lbs, and levan will have some competition. For now, it's like throwing jon jones in the 145lbs weightclass everytime.
