110% Agree. AEW has dropped a major ball and made him into a jobber even when he had the audience behind him. NXT suits him better way more than AEW.

I didnt understand how the VB were ok with Julia getting either drugged, or possessed by Satan. They seemed to let her become a minion of evil and just go 'oh shucks'. Should have been a huge battle for Julias freedom which they lose, blame each other, split for new gimmicks.

1:27 "So she was a pretty integral part of our act, so you take that away and you've just got a couple guys.. you know" that says everything you need to know right there. If Pillman thinks that the team can't stand on their own without her then they defintely don't deserve a push, they wouldn't be better of in NXT, they aren't anything special and he literally just admitted that. He needs to stop complaining about losing Julia and start making his tag team with Garrison more interesting.

impossible to do when the guy that organises the show you're on is a terrible booke and has no authority. Pillman had a amazing chance to get over when the Brian Pillman documentary came out(might have been Dark Side of the Ring) but Khan utterly wasted it. Amaetur booker of the year.

You could say the same about taking cornette away from the midnight express. I’m not saying she’s even close to his level as a manager (no one is or will ever be) but it’s the same concept of being a 3 person act. I thought there was great potential for the blondes with hart to turn heel and start acting like jocks stuffing smaller guys in lockers and them and just being bullies.

Pillman is a great talent that just hasn't gotten that chance to shine. His work in MLW was solid and its a shame that hasn't carried over to AEW. I think him going to NXT would be solid if possible but I honestly think NJPW as a junior heavy would be a great idea too. He could get over there and then be more of a star and have more opportunities down the line.

You could tell he sounds frustrated. Yea once they lost Julia, they stopped being featured on the main show. It’s a shame the blondes especially pillman are talented

This could have been an interesting story, once Julia was taken the Blondes should have been trying to get her back. I think that story is needed now, since Julia isn't doing much. I love the blondes, Griff and Pillman can wrestle, thye just need to get the story going trying to get julia back.

Seeing this & hearing him speak about her not being in tvb.. Makes me wonder if they took Julia Hart for a reason. Like aew knew the varsity blondes wasn't going anywhere & wanted to give her a better chance with a new & better group. Even being showcase more with Julia, they wasnt really over or big draw with the crowd.. He needs to go back to mlw seems like he was more over there then aew or come up with a new gimmick & new look/attitude..

In a semi-recent interview with whatculture She said it was her idea to join. Something along the lines of wanting to run with the mist angle. She also said something about talking to black and him saying "you don't want to do the cheer thing anymore?" With her response being "no I'm done with that sh*t". After knowing this, this interview just comes off as being bitter.

Well I'm sure it is, take the girl away then you had to dude in varsity jacket that wasn't all that great. he know they was done. Plus dude tries way to much be like his dad with dressing & acting like him. In multiple company

Eh I prefer her in HOB the cheerleader shtick is played out, plus she looks sexy af now which is a plus but also more convincing character work

No offense to Brian, but she's better with the House of Black.

I'm sick of seeing the increased amount of racism in chat and the comment section during the livestream and the videos uploaded since. Some really nasty people have been attracted to the podcast. That's toxic af to any community. Horrible people will always exist unfortunately but for this to ruin wrestling conversations especially in a place where this crap shouldn't be tolerated is really disappointing. This is a problem the wrestling community need to deal with as a whole, even in 2022 this is still the same.

@@cafederene I've been watching wrestling since 83. Pillman Sr was never a draw, it's smart mark revisionist history that make it seem like he was some big deal. The marks are saying Pillman Jr is being booked wrong. He's simply not a draw, he's ultra bland period.
