100% wrapped it. Anyone who bets knows, this is a TKO. A Doctor stoppage is when the fighter CAN continue, and WANTS to, and has too much damage. Brian verbally tapped, and could not continue.

@Illuminated by The Most High It's a common misconception that an armbar will only affect the elbow. While the elbow is the primary target, there's quite a bit of secondary pressure on the surrounding area. Just look at the position of a mounted armbar: a lot of the muscles and tendons of the shoulder, chest, and arm get stretched out pretty far and usually very fast. Some armbar configurations result in a pretty big fulcrum forming right under the shoulder joint, which can damage all sorts of things.I've ruptured my pec from an armbar, I've had a couple of training partners do the same thing, and had another tear their bicep.

@@letmegetuhhh3959 Yea they don’t specifically target the shoulder, but it does target the arm which is the limb the shoulder directly connects to. I personally think Yair wanted to threaten armbar while also controlling the arm in an uncomfortable position to limit what Ortega could do offensively and Ortega felt enough discomfort to try and get his arm out rather hastily which happened to be enough to pop the shoulder out. The point I’m getting at tho is it’s 50/50 on Yair and Ortega just as other moments in fights generally are as well, besides rare cases where refs can alter the outcome in some way. The injury itself was definitely freakish but I wouldn’t say it was a fluke because as Ortega stated he had shoulder surgery in the past which is going to leave it more susceptible as we saw in the fight.

Not exactly a submission,bc yair yes his legs were holding on to brians,but brian pulling his arm out was not a move from yair but rather fron ortega,and that is ortegas fault however more so his arm was stuck and he tried to pull it out and it dislocated,but it wasnt like yair put the force for the submission,he was just holding on to brians arm with his legs,but brian made the mistake to pull it out,not a move of offense from yair,but rather a move of defense from ortega that was miscalculated and made him dislocate his shoulder

It’s hard to count that as a sub when that technique doesn’t attack the shoulder and it was never Yairs intention to attack it. It wasn’t even a good armbar attempt, it wasn’t locked in and it wasn’t a lot of shoulder pressure all things considered. The shoulder pressure comes secondary after a fully extended elbow. If ortega didn’t have prior shoulder injuries he’d have been fine doing that exact motion. 99.9% of people would. You could spend your life rolling and trying to recreate this and it’s very possible it wouldn’t happen. I understand it looks like you can argue that because he’s technically attacking the arm but it’s the equivalent of me doing a weak rear naked choke attempt and you throwing out your back. I can guarantee you, if you got a guys shoulder in that armbar and that happened it wouldn’t feel like a sub victory. I’ve been in similar situations and they’ve never felt like a sub winning like that.

A legit win over ortega guaranteed their son a title shot and now he may have to fight again. The family, while probably relieved Yair didn’t take damage, did come in to watch a fight that ended prematurely. Yair wasn’t able to showcase his ability and guarantee that title shot. He felt bad. There’s nothing wrong with that.

We so different I'm from Colombia, we don't speak like that nor use "puto" this is a Mexican thing, just like i can't expect Aussies, people out there think all Hispanics are the same, whilst we have completely different food, accents, mindset and Music, flash news latin América is not mexico , but i understand that Mexico is the vast Hispanic majority in USA, i didn't know he called him puto, fun fact: Hispanics don't use puto , mexicans do, we might use p*ta which is h*e in Spanish... I'm from Colombia, and Hispanics aren't built that way
