Dawn Runyan I'm crying reading this in the same situation and he is married but coming to see me 4 the 1st time in over 20yrs. Damn i hope he is my last love..

The older you get the more this song hits you.. makes sense why generations before mine fell in love and actually felt it because everybody had no problem expressing how they truly felt even when things went bad. Our generation lost that and that's why I can't stand this new music but I know I can always reach back in time to catch that vibe and hopefully I get blessed with a special person who feels the exact same.

Funny story actually, way back in high school I used to listen to this song literally all the time when I had my first heart break. I even discovered I had a quick ability to learn things on the piano. So I’d sneak away during study hall to the auditorium and play it on our schools beautiful piano. I got pretty good at it and a girl heard it from the hallway and came to see what was up. We’ve been in love ever since. 10yrs🤷‍♂️

One of the best songs ever....truly awesome lyrics..I'm 42 now and it truly is a classic and he's a very talented artist...the lyrics...gives you perspective and sooo much reflection on past relationships

This song is truly legend, it will be deserves a Grammy.

He was one of the best musicians to ever grace my ears. I'm surprised the man didn't get any awards...that's a travesty!

U know it's a good song when u spend all day bumping gangsta rap then put this jam on and gets u in ur feels... Great song

That person you used to shoot the breeze with, spend endless nights with.... someone you could confide in and just be 100% real & solid with. It's a totally different feeling with that one special someone & everyone has that person, one they truly never really got over.
