Lots to explore!!
BRIAN MAY:
"Tie Your Mother Down - MicroCon #12 A riff for beginners !!
I discovered’ this riff on a volcanic ridge in Tenerife as a student living in an observatory hut. I could hear the words in my head “Tie Your Mother Down”. I remember that when Freddie first heard the riff, he liked it. I said “Of course we can’t call it Tie Your Mother Down." He said ... “Of course we can!” So then I wrote the rest of this song - about teenage angst !! I’m still a teenager inside, so this still makes perfect sense to me !!
Cheers all !

Thank you so much Brian May !! I am listening to you -- your caring thoughts and your music. I live in Riverview / Province of NB. / Canada. I appreciate your feelings expressed for those in the Health Care profession as I am a retired Registered Nurse of nearly 40 years . Widowed in the past year, I understand the difficulty for those who are isolated alone. Love your music and a Queen fan-- take care both you and your dear wife, Anita. Hugs-- from a social distance😀.

I retired April 1 to take care of my elderly mother full time. I didn’t get to have my retirement party at work or get a proper goodbye with my team. I was hoping mid month I was going to, but once again, it’s delayed. UK and concert is postponed until 1 June next year, so just moved hotel reservations to 2021 and waiting on BA to send vouchers. I was expecting the postponement but it still stings a bit, I just want you guys safe. Thank you, thank you for the daily vlogs. You don’t know how much they mean to me. A little music from Dr. May gives a small shot of joy which gets you me through each day. Sending a rebound of daily love back from Texas, 🇺🇸, too Bri. Send the sunshine our way, please. I was so happy we had beautiful weather to greet you to Dallas last summer but it’s been cloudy and lots of rain here this winter and spring. Ready for some sunshine so I can sit in the backyard, read a book or put my EarPods in and listen to my music and dream about being at the 02 next summer, jamming with my favorite band to all the classics! ✌️❤️

Thank you Brian for the lovely thoughts. We are all worried and pray for our Doctors, Nurses and First responders. I am keenly aware of the suffering of those less fortunate than myself. (I would be no where if it wasn’t for my family especially my parents who herd me through my illness ...my Lupus.) And even though we don’t have nearly enough of the supplies our hospitals and their staff require, I see the desperation of those in the poorest of countries who have absolutely nothing, The stories coming out of places like Ecuador and even the southern part of Italy are truly heart wrenching. I am praying for everyone out there ! Please stay safe and be well everyone.

We all have to stay home and find ways to occupy our time. I'm a landscape photographer and I miss my walks in the forest, the beaches and wherever I take myself. Brian, we can all only do what we can do, for most stay at home is the biggest gift anyone can give right now. People like yourself will help us all get through this, find your own strength in knowing that. On a lighter note... hearing the twang on your strings at the start of that kinda gives it a bluegrass feel...never noticed that before!

Christmas 1976 , me and my great friend Graham bought "A DAY AT THE RACES" , Freddie did an interview with Kenny Everett on Capital as a promotion , it was a laugh hearing the two banter 😀 "Tie your Mother Down" one of the Greatest intros to a Rock album. For me , it was Queen's "Sgt Pepper" a Masterpiece. Alot of love and sweat (well before digital) went into this LP , I could go on , but I'll leave it there and just say thanks Brian for an album that means one hell of alot 🤴

Great to know a BM side not everyone used to see. Great musician, huge heart, deep words. Once again, this is Queen (a kind of) magic.
