That scared the shit out of me when you were rubbing over the signature with lighter fluid and sandpaper! You need balls to work on other peoples guitars and a lot of confidence Thanks for the video Scott ❤ from England

You are THE MAN when it comes to anything guitar finish related. I keep saying this, but Scottie, I watch tons of guitar repair and build videos and no one, not even close, does the level of quality you put into every finish job. You have so many different potions and compounds, plus every grit of sandpaper/polishing pad, known to man. Really impressive work and something to be proud of. Great job!

I can relate. I spent the last two days working a nitro finish on a scratch acoustic build. My hand is mud.

Awesome video! I picked one of these up a few months ago, and it quickly became my favorite guitar. Love the pickups, electronics, and shorter scale neck.

The trem on the original Red Special has springs under the D shaped plastic plate. The Wilkinson trem doesn't have this so on this guitar it's only there for looks.

If you mess it up, you could always get Brian to sign it again 🫤

I wonder why you didn't do the same scratching and finish over the whole front of the guitar? that would have completely elimininated the witness line...and maybe would have been less work overall.. though hindsight is a beautiful thing. but now I know how to preserve my Joe Satriani autographed RG

Interesting that the signature on the body looks nothing like the signature on the head-stock...🤨

Question (and pardon my lack of knowing): Is there a reason you didm't use a powered buffer for the final finish? Would that have made it easier, or is that a no-no?
