I heard Brian talk about the Tenerife observatory in an interview and I would love to go to there someday. 39 is my favorite Queen song as well and is the main reason I bought a 12-string. It is remarkable how good Brian's voice still is.

@@lucas_bndr I got a fender cd150s/12 used for only 250$ with a hard case. I was very lucky as the few sold listings i could find were 300$+. Of course considering that I can't find any others I'd refer you to the youtuber "8 minute axe" as he has some very good videos on good 12-strings.

Beautiful, just beautiful…. my brother passed on May of 22… made his life as a musician ( played left on a right handed guitar) anyway, he used to play this song for me. It always makes me cry and such a nice tribute to you Brian May thank you thank you thank you.

After loving this song for decades I finally learned it and played it in a short set for fellow sci-fi music nerds. I intro'd it with, "This is a song about leaving home, love, loss... aaand relativistic interstellar space travel. Not too many songs written by astrophysicists get radio airplay, much less wind up on multi-platinum-selling albums. Yeah, THAT Venn diagram just got real small, didn't it?"

With you there Josh, lost brother, mum and dad in last 4 years. I find music like Brian's can make me feel good and put a smile on my face. It helps me through very dark periods. Difficult to put into words. I think you either 'get' music and its emotional power or you don't. 🤘🤘🎶🎶♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🎸🎸
